Author's Note: Welcome to a personal writing challenge that I have started. 100 or more pairings done in 3 months. School is coming up but I'll still try to update. I decided to start off with one of my personal favorites, a pairing between Lily Evans and James Potter.

I am open to any pairings you suggest so just leave me a review, I'll do a little research and stamp out a nice little pairing.

What is a pairing? In my opinion, a pairing is either when the two said people get together or one realizes that they are right for each other.

Please also visit my other story, Distance, and leave reviews there too. It would make me a very happy person.

Pairing: James Potter and Lily Evans

Love is patient.

Lily Evans, red hair and temper to match, watched James Potter write an essay from her seat on the couch, his glasses askew and his raven hair untamable. It was true, he was patient with her and his love for her grew daily. She didn't understand why he waited, why he stuck around when all she did was reject him. She was the Queen of Rejection, always shooting him down and making those hazel eyes droop. But, she remembered with chagrin, He hasn't asked you out in two weeks. You rejected him too much and he lost interest.

"What is it, Lils?" James broke through her thoughts and she realized she was still staring at him. He was halfway across the room but she could still feel his eyes on her.

"No-nothing," She stammered in reply, blushing faintly. It didn't take long before he abandoned his essay and collapsed on the couch next to her. She didn't even flinch when he slung his arm around her, in fact, she quite enjoyed it.

Love is kind.

Are you sure you're okay, Lils?" James said again, looking at her until their eyes met. "You didn't even say anything when I put my arm around you," He fretted, looking at her face.

He's cute when he's worried, Lily thought before shrugging at James, attempting to keep everything nonchalant. "Sick of fighting, I guess," She replied, turning back to the book and fighting the urge to burrow herself in his chest.

"Who are you and what have you done with my Lily?" James jokingly said, pulling her closer and attempting to get a rise out of her. "Not even a glare? Merlin, what's wrong?"

Lily looked up at him, attempting to find the right words to say. Lily Clare Evans was never at a loss for words, she always knew what to say but now, she struggled.

"Just spit it out," James's tone suddenly turned harsh and his hazel eyes darkened. "We don't have to pretend to get along nor will we ever get along because you ignore me!"

Lily jerked away from him and turned to look at him. "Maybe I'm sick of fighting all the time!" She snapped back, hurt and confusion flooding her body.

"Why?" James snarled, frustration and anger giving an unpleasant edge to his voice.

"Because I FANCY YOU, YOU DOLT!" Lily cried out, exasperated and his rebuttal was to crush his lips to hers in a heart-stopping, pulse-pounding kiss.

Love never fails.

A/N: Have a pairing that you want me to do now that you've read my little story? Just drop me a review and I'll try my hardest to make your pairing the best it can be.

Question: What house are you? I'm a Hufflepuff in denial. Maybe if I met some other Hufflepuffs, I'd be more open to being a Hufflepuff.

Review, lovelies? (I enjoy calling my readers on here and on dA lovelies. Hope you don't mind.)
