{Mycroft}
My hand shakes as the blank ink flows from the other side of the pen onto the index card. It was two simple words, but everyone who cared would understand. Not a lot of people would care. They just would need a replacement in the government. I sit on the edge of our bed in my flat and stare out the sliding glass door leading to a balcony. I was on the 5th floor. A jump would be easy enough, but i want to go out like he did. I fold the index card in half and slide it into the breast pocket of my tan suit. A single tear fell from my face as i lifted the gun up to my head.
"I'm sorry," I said. And i did it. I squeezed the trigger and suddenly there was nothing. Just darkness and he was here smiling back at me.
{Third Person}
"Mycroft!" Sherlock cried trying to open the door to his brothers flat
"Sherlock why are we here?" John asked. "Why are you panicked?" Sherlock just kept ramming the door with his shoulder. The lock finally gave and Sherlock stumbled into Mycroft's flat. A bathroom and kitchen to the left and the bedroom and living room to the right. He went to the bedroom, he knew his brother well and that's were he would be. Sherlock ran in.
"Mycroft," He said as he entered. He saw his brother lying on his bed. Eyes open, gun in hand, blood coming from the side of his head. "Damnit." Sherlock cursed. He never showed emotion or likeness toward his brother but now he did. He went over and used his finger tips to close his eye lids ever so gently./
"Sherlo-" John called but stopped once he got inside the bedroom and saw Mycroft. "By god is he-"
"He's dead." Sherlock said solemnly. John pulled out his mobile and dialed 999.
"Hello 999 what's your emergency?"
"Yes, Hi, My name is Dr. John Watson and Sherlock Holmes and I just found a suicide victim." John says almost calmly.
"Sir I'm going to need you to stay there and tell me the address," the operator said. John gave the Lady the address and then was told to stay on the line until paramedics showed up with police. He did so but Sherlock went out to the bathroom and locked himself in.
This all could have been avoided had one specific case not come up. That case was a case of sentiment and was about two months ago.
