Summary: Reminiscing about darker times wasn't exactly pleasant, but it happened often enough that he had become jaded.

"The victim was found in the trunk of your car."
It was a statement instead of a question, as it had once been the talk of the police department. "Yes," replied Miles Edgeworth, turning to occupy a space in the parking lot of their latest case.
"Awful. I can't say I wouldn't be shaken after discovering such a thing..."
"It certainly was difficult," he admitted coolly, switching off the car. "I would prefer not to repeat such an experience."
"Of course not." The woman followed him to the entrance, and then hesitated. "Perhaps you should double-check that you locked it...?"
The suggestion amused him. Snorting, the prosecutor revealed, "That wasn't enough to thwart crime in the past." She conceded the point and finally entered in after him.
