Rey sat on the tree branch waiting, her legs dangling over branch. Death was sometimes so slow. But she had to hang around and wait for this soul to leave its hosts body.

She had been waiting for 2 hours and Rey was getting bored. Rey could see the family gathered around their loved one.

Rey wondered if anyone care about her death when it had come. But she doubted it, being an orphan meant she had no to love or return the love. Which is why when the devil had made her an offer she didn't refuse it. She had been branded with the devils mark and she was to live for eternity taking the souls of the people to gates of heaven or hell. Neither of this world or of Hell.

It was a lonely life but it was the only one she had known.

When a wail broke through her thoughts she knew it was time to retrieve this soul. She was an elder, pure heart and not once did anything wrong in the eyes of God. She was destined for Heaven.
Floating into the room she welcomed the soul.

"Are you here to take me?" She asked, once old but now young the woman stood in front of her.

"Yes I am. Are you ready?" She held her Death Scythe in one hand as she held her free hand out to the woman.

"Yes." The Lady took her hand. They looked at her loved one once more before living the plain of the living and arriving in limbo.
"You. A woman who is pure heart, soul and mind are destined for Heaven. You must walk to the gate alone." Rey said as she looked at the woman.
"Thank you."

Rey watched her leave and called her book to her. Only one more was destined to die tonight for her. A woman named Leia Organa.

Sighing she threw her book back to the darkness and went back to the living plain. Arriving at the place where she was to take one more soul. This job didn't get any easier.

Ben sat at his Mother's side. Her breathing laboured as the machines did that for her. She had been in a coma for a 6 months and today was the day they all agreed to do the unthinkable. To take her off the machines and spend what time they had together before her passing.

His father was outside, he couldn't believe he wasn't in this room with them. So much for the love of his life.

Ben did something he had never done. He prayed. He clasped his hand together and spoke.

"To anyone listening. Please help my mother. Let her live. She deserves to live. I beg of you please save her. She is much loved and needed her. Please. Someone hear me."

Rey watched the Dark hair man pray. "Pity no one listens" She mumbled and looked up. The man was staring at her, mouth opened...
"Who are you?" Rey looked around the room to see if he was addressing another person but no it was her.
"You can see me?" She held her scythe closer. This had never happened.
"How did you get in?" The man was now visibly angry and clearly ignoring her question. Getting up he moved over to her, grabbing her weapon.
Rey fought back. "Leave me alone. I am here for your mother's soul." She hadn't meant to say that. But it was to late, the man looked at her with more surprise then before.

When Ben had opened his eyes, his vision caught sight of a young female. She was dressed in a black corset, black leather pants and a pair of black heels and carrying some sort of weapon.
"Who are you?" He asked his question cause her discomfit as she looked around.
"You can see me?" Her voice small and scared.

Of course he could see her. Was she really going to play dumb to him. She moved the weapon closer to her small frame.

"How did you get in?" Ben was getting mad. He couldn't believe this woman. He stormed over to her and grabbed her weapon. The woman fought back.
"Leave me alone. I am here for your mother's soul."

Ben looked at her wide eyed, his breath barely coming out.

"What are you?" Ben asked. He stared at the young girl. Her brown hair was flowing down the sides of her face. She had perfect skin. But her eyes, they were Red. No body had red eyes unless they wore contacts and he doubted she did.

Ben and Rey looked away as the bedroom door slammed over and a drunk Han Solo entered the room.
"What is going here?" He stumbled over as he looked at the two in front of him. Ben looked back over to the girl.
"Father, leave. This doesn't concern you." Ben growled as Han reached for the young woman. Han grabbed her arm and pulled her to him, his eyes looking on her's. Ben could have handled the intruder.

"It can't be. You don't exist." Han pushed her back and she fell on her ass.
"No no no.." he kept mumbling.
Ben was confused at his father's actions. Rey waved her hand and disappeared from them.

"What the fuck is she.?" Ben asked as he watched her disappear before his eyes.
"She is a Goddess of death." Han said looking at his wife lifeless body.

Rey flew as fast as she could. She had to discuss this with the Devil.
"Lady Rey. We weren't expecting you."
"I need to see him now. I have a problem."
"But you can't I am sorry"
Shaking her head she stormed pass the guard and stormed into the throne room.

"My dear Rey what a surprise." The voice greeted her as she bowed before him.
"Supreme Leader. I have a problem. It seems when I went to collect a soul, I was well...human. Their son and father could see me."

The Devil laughed at her. "Oh my dear. I am fully aware. In fact it was discussed with him that this was going to happen. In fact this is a once in a lifetime opportunity." He pointed his hand up. So they both knew.

"But Supreme Leader. I don't wish to be human."
"You are you to live as a human for a year. After a year, if you still desire to be a goddess of Death we will let you return. You are to go back and collect the soul of Han Solo, then your year starts. No get out of my sight."

Rey bowed and left the room. This wasn't going to be easy.

Han and Ben both sat in Han's study having a strong drink of Whisky.
"A goddess of Death?" Ben said once more.
"Yes they are something of myth. Men and women have claimed to see them but they were told it was their imaginations. Some being so close to death have said to see them"
"So such things of mythical exist?" Ben asked downing the drink and refilling it again.

"Yes we do." Rey's voice came from behind them.

Han reached for his gun, took off the safety and fired at her. The bullet flew right threw her and he sighed.
"Well shit."
Rey walked over to them. " I am sorry but I do have to take a soul tonight but it seems that things have changed." She summoned her book, Leia Organa's name was not there, instead Han Solo was.
"It seems that your praying changed things. No longer am I after your Mother's. I am now here for Han Solo."

Ben charged to the woman. His anger getting the better of him. He grabbed her, shaking her as he growled in her face.
"You will do no such fucking thing."
"I have no choice."
"Yes you do. You can choose to let them live and leave this place."

Rey used all her strength and pushed Ben away from her. Calling her Scythe to her. It was now or never.
"If I do not do this someone else will. And it will be more painful. I am the nicest goddess of death you will ever meet."
Ben noted that her eyes glowed bright red now, when she was mad they lit up more.
His father's hand rested on his shoulder. " It has to be now son. I will take your mother's place. You got a name kid?" He addressed her now.
"Rey is the name they gave me."
"Rey...You will be quick and painless, yes?"

Rey nodded.

"Father you can't be serious."
"I am son. It is my time. I love your mother to much to let someone take her later on. Tell her I loved her so much and I'll be watching over her. Leia deserves to be here more then I." With that Han nodded to Rey. She extended her hand and took Han to Limbo. It would safer to do it away from his son.

When he turned his back he told her to do it. He couldn't face to see how she would do it, but he had a good idea.
Rey held back tears, this was a first for her, taking someone like this. With one final breathe she raised her Scythe and in a blink of a eye it was over.

She didn't even have time to take his soul to the right door. No the moment it was done she was thrown back into the Solo estate.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" she screamed as she tried to summon her scythe and book. No she was human now for the first time in two centuries.

So I am trying new things and posting new ideas. I hope you all enjoy it and yes I am sorry for Killing Han. If you like it why not review. Thank you all for reading.
