Nikki Heat
The movie had started filming just a few weeks ago. After Natalie had shadowed Beckett, it had taken awhile before filming could actually begin. In that time, Castle had dumped Gina and Beckett had left Josh during a case similar to her mother's when he had put his job above her. Castle had comforted her when Josh had failed, that's when she realized how much she loved him. It was a year after they had officially started dating that he had proposed. They had set a date, a month from tomorrow. Neither of them could wait, but today they were visiting Natalie Rhodes on the set of the Nikki Heat movie.
They were in Chicago for the 3 day weekend and Castle had decided that while they were there they should go check out the Nikki Heat set. They got there as Natalie was finishing up a scene and then the director told everyone to take five. Natalie caught sight of the couple cuddling up in the cold.
"You came." she said
"I told you, I just thought I'd bring my fiance along with me." Castle said
"Congratulations you guys."
"Thank you, so is this movie any good?" Beckett asked
"After I had the scrip rewritten, yes much better. A lot more like the book."
"Good, I can't wait for the premiere. It'll be two months after we get back to New York." Castle replied
"So, when do you guys tie the knot?"
"One month from tomorrow." Castle said looking into the eyes of the beautiful women who was finally going to be his.
"I'm so happy for you guys. I knew you guys would get together."
"Yes, well apparently several people are happy because there was a pool going on." Beckett said
"Well, I was in on the Lanie and Esposito pool, I won some good money from that." Castle added
"You guys are funny. If I ever find myself in New York again, I will defiantly visit you guys."
The director called everyone back and Natalie said, "Thanks for coming around, nice to seeing you guys."
"Bye." Castle and Beckett said at the same time
"Can we stay and watch this scene?" Beckett asked and looked up at the man she loved with pleading eyes.
"Okay." He said with fake reluctancy
She snuggled closer to him as the winds blew harder and they watched as actors made Heat Wave come alive. Then they went back to the hotel and snuggled close together and watched movies for the rest of the day.
