Troy walked into ms.Darbus classroom sat down and noticed a note on his desk
"Meet you at FREE period XOXO G"
Alright settle down" ms Darbus ordered "I know we're all still excited about our top to bottom championship"
"That'll be 'back to back' ms D" Chad said smiling.
"Well whatever the case it was a grand slam, well done" said ms Darbus
Gabriella began squirming in her seat feeling queasy then raised her hand.
"Ms Darbus may I be excused?" she said dryly and quietly
"Ms Montez are you ok?" Ms Darbus asked her.
"Yeah I have an emergency that I really need to tend to" Gabriella told her.
Ms Darbus knew it really have to be something wrong for Gabriella to excuse herself from any classroom.
"You may go ahead" ms D told her "do you need to see a nurse, you look a little green"
"No, I think I need to just get some water and lay down" Gabriella said standing up.
"Ok sweetheart take your time"
"I can take her home?" Troy offered before Gabriella passed him "I promise I'll come right back to school"
"Sure take all the time you need you have free period after my class after all" ms D said.
"Okay thank you ms D" Troy said standing up "Come on Gabi"
Gabriella handed her bag into Troy's open hand and they walked out of the classroom.
Before going out of the door they stopped at Gabi's locker to get her homework from the classes prior to ms Darbus' class.
There was silence the whole walk to her locker.
"Hey" Troy grabbed her arm "are you ok?"
She looked up at him.
"Yes Troy I'm okay, I just need a little rest"she told him and shut her locker "I'm ready"
Troy gave her a slight smile and grabbed her text books, he led the way outside and to his truck, opened the door for her, helped her in and closed the door.
Gabriella laid her head back on the headrest not taking her eyes off of Troy and he walked around to the driver side.
"Troy can I ask you a question?"she asked him with her eyes closed feeling drained
"Sure go ahead, baby" he said starting the car
"Hypothetically speaking...what if...I told you...that...we're going to have a... baby"she finally got the words out she was trying to ask him for weeks.
"A baby?" He asked her "are you pregnant?"
"I didn't say that"Gabriella said offensively
"Well why would you ask me that? You would've have asked me if you weren't" Troy said putting the car in drive and speeding out of the parking lot.
"I said hypothetically Troy"
"No fuck that...cut all the bull shit...are you?" He asked sternly
"I don't know" she said dryly
"Well I don't want or need a baby right now and neither do you" He told her.
"Troy!" Gabriella nearly cried "you'll make me get an abortion"
"No, I can't make you do anything you don't want to do, but I can suggest it without sounding like an asshole"
Gabriella just wiped away a tear before it hit her cheek.
"You are,aren't you?" He asked
She just hunched her shoulders and looked out of her passenger window.
"Ok, we're going to cvs to get a test"
"Troy can you just take me home first and you can go out and bring me one later I need to lay down. Like now!!"
Troy just nodded and continued to drive them to Gabriella's house.
He parked,opened his door and walked to her door and helped her out of the truck.
They walked up to Gabriella's house and opened the front door with the key.
Gabi walked upstairs slowly and into her room with Troy behind her. Once inside her room Gabriella collapsed on the floor and threw up on the carpet.
"And I take that as a yes" Troy said running a hand through his hair and rubbing her back with his other.
"It's not a yes yet" Gabriella told him as she wipes her mouth with the back of her hand.
"Then what is it Gabriella, when's the last time you ate?"
"Dinner. Last night. I can't keep anything down"she said going into her adjacent bathroom,grabbing a rag to clean up her vomit.
"Here give it to me I go it, you just get yourself a shower and then in bed" he said taking the rag from her hands "and you need to eat something"
"Eat what Troy I can't hold anything for more that an hour"
"I'll get you some chicken noodle from downstairs"
"Whatever. Ok" Gabriella said turning around and walking back into the bathroom to get herself a nice hot shower.
30 Minutes Later
Gabriella was already dressed and in bed knocked out when Troy came back in with her soup.
He just stared at her sleeping so peacefully he didn't want to wake her up, he just sat the bowl on her night stand. He went to the other side of her bed and got in on top of the covers.
Still sleep Gabriella rolled over and found her way into Troy's arms, he embraced her and put his hands in her damp hair.
He laid there just staring at her beautiful sleeping face and how bad it would effect her if she got an abortion and he hated to see her cry,then again being a daddy right now would be too much on Troy's plate right now.
