The Tournament
(Author's Notes: This is a really stupid idea I had that I needed to get out of my head.

Davis, Tai, and the rest of the Digidestined were walking slowly along the course of a stream, hoping to
find a control spire to destroy. A sudden movement caught Tai's eye. He turned around to face the threat. A small
pink creature hopped out onto the path. It spoke with a small voice like bells ringing.
"Mew"
Kari and the other girls looked at it and yelled.
"Awwwwww......... Such a cute little thing."
Davis had seen the creature too. He looked it over. No dark rings. He relaxed. No real threat here.
"Say, Veemon, have you seen this Digimon before?"
Veemon walked over to the small pink creature. He stared at it. The creature stared back. Again it spoke.
"Mew. Mew mew meeeee ew mew mew emew Meeeeeeeeewwww mew mew. Mewmew mew meee mew ew."
Veemon blinked. What the heck was it? And what was it saying? And why was it here? The creature held out
a small black box to the Digimon. Veemon stepped back, wary of a possible trap. The creature frowned at the
Digimon as it shrank back.
"Davis, I don't know what this thing is, but it might be dangerous. We should be careful!"
The pink "thing" went up to Veemon and slapped him. It then went over to Tai and held out the black box
to him. Tai stared at it. There was a small blue button on the top. He looked at the small creature. It again
offered the box to him. He took it. A smile crossed the thing's face. It jumped up and shouted.
"Mewmew mew mmmeeewww!!!! Mew mew Meeeww mewew"
Tai stared at it uncomprehending. It frowned again. It hopped up and pressed the blue button. A
shimmering light hovered around the box. It floated up out of his hand and a small picture formed above it.
It was of a man. He looked to be about 20, with spiky purple hair and eyes. The man bowed and spoke.
"Greetings, Digidestined. I trust Mew got this to you safely. I am an emissary of anouther dimension.
I have come to offer you a challenge from my dimension to yours. We wish to fight you in a sort of Free-for-all
tournament. 11 of our 'Pokemon' against your 11 'Digimon'. We await your response at the battleground. To be
teleported there, press the small red button that will appear. If you do not accept, Mew will tell me. Thank you."
Tai looked up. The group, answering his unspoken question, nodded in unison.
"Well, Digidestined, we have another battle to fight!"
He pressed the red button.
