Rachel held the phone, both hesitantly and eagerly. Gingerly she pressed the talk button and put the phone to her ear. "Hello?"
"Hey. I need to talk to you."
Rachel looked around the quiet apartment before escaping out the big, sliding door as silently as she could. She headed out of the complex into the night as she listened to Finn on the other line of phone call. Although this conversation couldn't be any worse, she held on to his every word, loving the sound of his voice.
"I- I don't know, Finn. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or not… I still have to go to the doctor."
"Would it be mine?" Finn asked her.
"It could be," Rachel answered. I hope it is, Rachel thought for a second before realizing how wrong that would be. She sighed heavily, releasing a nervous tear as she did. "I just don't know what to do… And I haven't told Brody…"
A beat passed before Finn spoke. "I'm coming to New York."
"Finn…"
"I'll see you soon." Finn hung up before Rachel reply. She put her phone in her pocket and sat on the curb. She folded her hands together and pressed them to her lips, worried about the possibilities. She let the tears that she had held in for too long slide down her cheeks.

Rachel sat across from Brody nervously. She knew he had to hear it at some point, she just didn't know how. Brody was currently boasting about his latest achievement in his acting class, and though Rachel didn't want to interrupt, she did.
"Brody, I'm pregnant."
A ghastly look crossed Brody expression. "You're what?"
"I might be pregnant. And…it might not be yours."
"Then whose would it…" Brody stood up suddenly, enraged by his realization. "I can't believe-"
"Like you're any better!? I found out about your other girlfriend, Brody!"
Brody left in a storm, leaving Rachel confused.

Brody knocked on the door, looking down at his feet. A tall blonde girl with green eyes opened the door- Brody's other girlfriend. "Hey, babe," she smiled. She moved aside to let him into her apartment. Brody trudged in. He sat down in a chair in the living room in a heap. Amy came and sat in Brody's lap. "You seem upset. What's got you down, hon?" She ran her fingers through his hair and kissed him lightly on the forehead.
Brody smiled up at her before she leaned down to kiss him. Quickly Brody picked up Amy and took her to her bedroom. Let Rachel deal with that on her own, Brody wickedly thought. I'll have my own fun.

Rachel felt frenzied as she waited in the airport lobby. She looked up to see Finn walking towards her. "Rachel! I thought you had the appointment this morning! I'm so sorry, my flight was delayed and I-"
"I'm not pregnant, Finn." Rachel smiled.
"You're not?"
"No. I took another test and it was negative and the appointment this morning… I'm not pregnant." Rachel beamed up at Finn. "I'm so sorry that you came all this way. I tried to call you."
Finn continued to smile back at her. Every chance that he was with her was magical- despite whatever situation they were in. "I don't care. I'm glad I'm here."
Rachel continued to smile. "I have other news for you too… Brody left me. And I'm not letting him come back, Finn."
Finn beamed a little brighter at this idea.
"Stay with me, Finn. We'll figure something out. Just please, please don't go."
Finn wrapped his arms around Rachel and kissed her full on the mouth. "I'll stay."
