A.N. Here's a oneshot that accompanies chapter 37 of Dear Younger Me. Enjoy!
"Remus, I bought you Honeydukes Finest Chocolate."
Remus looked up from his book to see Sirius holding a huge tin that had Honeydukes stamped on the side. Remus immediately knew that Sirius wanted something.
"What do you want Sirius?"
"Well, you see Moony, I was going to babysit Little Nymphy today for Andromeda, but then I asked this pretty Ravenclaw chick into Hogsmeade. So, could you please watch Nymphadora for me? Please?"
Remus looked at Sirius bewildered.
"You want me to babysit your cousin's daughter for you?"
"Yep."
"Why don't you ask James or Peter to do it?"
"Well, James is off snogging Lily's face off, and I haven't seen Peter all day."
Remus let out a big sigh.
"Well, alright."
Sirius jumped for joy, but then stopped when Remus spoke.
"But...I want that chocolate right now!"
Sirius reluctantly handed over the chocolate.
Thirty minutes later, a very bloated Remus stood on the doorstoop of Andromeda and Ted Tonks's house with door was opened by a bright pink haired 5 year old.
"Hi, Siri! We're going to have so much fun today! I already got out all the big dress up clothes Mummy got me so now I can dress you up to look just like Princess Sirius!"
The little girl stopped talking as she had noticed Sirius's companion.
"Who're you?" she asked Remus. "You're pretty cute. For a boy."
Sirius started to laugh. He was still laughing by the time a very pretty black-haired woman came to the door.
"Hi Sirius. Did you bring a friend along?"
Sirius stopped laughing.
"Hey Andy. This is Remus. He's going to be watching Nymphadora today. I kinda have plans."
Needless to say, Sirius got a scolded, first by Andromeda for not being responsible and then by Nymphadora because he had called her by her full name and not Tonks like she insisted.
After she was finished scolding Andromeda turned to Remus and said, "Hi Remus. I'm Andromeda, but feel free to call me Andy."
"Hi Andy."
After the introductions, Andromeda explained where she and her husband were going to be and when they would be back.
"Alright, we should be back in two hours so don't worry about feeding her. Just keep her busy."
With that, Andromeda called her husband, and the two Apparated away, and Sirius left.
Remus turned to Nymphadora.
"So Tonks, what do you want to do?"
"Let's play house! You'll be the daddy, I'll be the mommy and Teddy will be the baby!"
"Ok," Remus said, wondering who Teddy was.
Teddy turned out to be a brown bear with blue eyes that Tonks seemed to be attached to.
"Ok, let's play Remus!"
"Dora! We're home! Come give Mummy and Daddy a hug!"
Nymphadora ran to her mom, still wearing a long black skirt, a baby blue blouse and slippers.
After giving them hugs, she told her parents all about what she and Remus did.
"I had a lot of fun with Remus, Mummy. Can he come back?"
"Of course, dear, if he wants."
Remus looked at Tonks and said,"Of course I'll come back."
Remus was back at the flat that he shared with the other Marauders.
He heard the door open and then slam shut. Right away, Remus knew it was Sirius.
Sirius entered the room.
"So how'd it go?"
"It was fun, I played house with Tonks and her Teddy. She's such a cute and girl."
"Aww, does wittle Remmy have a wittle cwush on my itty-bitty niece?"
"Sirius, stop!"
"Sorry. I was just kidding. I know you won't grow up and marry a pink headed girl and have a baby named Teddy!"
How wrong he was.
