New fic! This shall be stories about birthdays of the Tenipuri guys! My OC is here too, she's the main focus actually...

It was one morning when Kumiko had woken up giggling after she jumped off of her bed and checked the calendar. She had truly prepared herself for this day, especially with the alarm she set up the night before so she could wake herself up earlier than her older brother. As Kumiko silently tip-toed towards her brother's room with stealth while trying to keep her eyes open, she gently opened the door to her brother's room before approaching her target on the bed. When Kumiko thought her plan had worked, she was then greatly disappointed to find the bed empty of a body, panicking in her head wondering where her older brother had gone to before a voice came from her back.

"Kumiko? What are you doing awake at this hour?" Kumiko nervously turned her head around slowly to see her brother standing behind her holding a glass of water, with one brow raised at her sudden presence inside his room before turning towards the box Kumiko is holding on her hand. Kumiko finally noticed that Tezuka's eyes are now on the present she had prepared for her older brother and quickly hid it behind her, even though Tezuka already sees it.

"I-I woke up all of a sudden, w-what about you nii-chan?" Kumiko said nervously as Tezuka frowned even more at her stutter, suspicious of her strange behavior.

"I thought about waking up earlier this morning. What was that you're hiding? You never woke up this early in the morning." Tezuka said, hiding a triumphant smile when he sees an incoming pout on Kumiko's face as a sign of defeat before having a box tied with blue ribbons shoved in front of his face. Tezuka, who had been shocked at the sudden gift that was shoved in front of him, finally took it and looked at his fidgeting younger sister, a silent question hanging in the air.

"I tried to surprise you, so… happy birthday?" Kumiko said, smiling sheepishly at Tezuka who stared at the younger girl for a moment before shaking his head and gave her an amused smile, making Kumiko started to stomp her feet on the floor in annoyance after seeing the mocking smile.

"And I thought I could finally get up earlier than nii-chan! But despite everything nii-chan just had to wake up earlier, on today as well!" Kumiko complained, greatly disappointed at her failed mission to surprise her older brother.

"And here I thought I could give you a surprise on your birthday…" Kumiko pouted, her shoulders are now slumped downward in disappointment from her failure. Seeing his sister's great disappointment just from failing to give him a surprise, Tezuka couldn't help but placed the present on his bed before giving Kumiko a hug.

"For you to want to wake up this early in the morning just to give me a surprise is unexpected for me, so you can't say your plan failed. I was surprise to see you here snooping around in the morning, so thank you, Kumiko." Tezuka said before he felt a smaller pair of arms being wrapped around his body, gripping tightly unto his clothes.

"Happy birthday, onii-chan."

And I haven't read Shin Tenipuri for quite a while now... I wonder if I should write a fic about Kumiko in the midst of the U-17 team, but that would be scary
