I've honestly had this idea stuck in my mind for a while now and I'm finally getting it out so other people can read it. I hope others enjoy it. I unfortunately don't own Casper
"Synonym for complete… synonym for complete. God there has to be something" Kat sat on her bed staring down at her almost completely blank paper. For some reason she was having a hard time concentrating on her English homework. It was honestly starting to confuse and annoy her because it was usually insanely easy and now, unexpectedly she was having a hard time with elementary work. Although if she were to be honest with herself she knew exactly why she was having a hard time at it… a certain ghost by the name of Casper. A certain ghost who she was just steps away from making a human and fulfilling both of their dreams for the past two years.
With a final sigh Kat put down her notebook, climbed off the bed and pulled on her bathrobe. Knowing that sleep would evade her until she went down to the lab she quietly walked down, making sure not to wake anyone else up. Although everyone else knew exactly what she was doing and exactly what she was making no one was helping… yet again no one was hindering her from doing it either. Pushing on the hidden door that led down to the lab, she stepped into the room and sat down on the chair that would take her downstairs. She had deactivated the machines in the tunnel more then a year ago so thankfully she had no fear of being splattered by shaving cream or anything else and could enjoy her ride in relative silence.
Walking over to the table that used to be a mess but now held thousands of glass vials full of chemicals of all sorts neatly labeled she reached towards the one in the center and a book clearly showed signs of overuse. Thankfully, Casper's long deceased father had written down his formula for much of it… understanding it and getting the necessary chemicals was the hard part that had taken the past two years. However, as long as they did not hit any major bumps in the road it would be done within less then a week and Casper could finally go back to living… truly living.
Quietly Kat pulled up a chair next to the table, grabbed the book and started pouring and mixing various colored liquids into a main vial held over a low flame in the middle of the table. Kat sat at the table for several more minutes, nearly getting lost in her work until she capped the chemicals, sighed and got up from the desk to look at the seemingly empty room.
"I know you're there Casper" her voice came out of her exhausted body clearly waiting for a reply.
"But how did you know I was here? I was meaning to surprise you!" Casper replied with a downfallen face that had finally materialized just feet in front of Kat.
"Just a guess. Besides when haven't you shown up when I'm down here?" Kat replied in a kind yet teasing manner.
"I guess… Have you gotten any further?" Casper replied clearly hopeful.
"Yes, I have gotten much further. I think it will be done tomorrow actually" Kat replied smiling while watching Casper's face light up.
"Really? Ill finally be alive again!"
"Yup"
Reviews are nice and I promise that the next chapter will be longer!
