Some things in life you expect will happen sooner or later.

Some things, however, you don't. Like Selmak.

Like this particular situation.

"Jack?"

"Uh huh?" Came the muffled reply.

"You okay?"

A short nod. Damn Selmak for finding this so highly amusing.

"What did you expect I'd do? Shoot you?"

Jack stilled. "It had crossed my mind."

"Well, I won't. Can you please let go now?"

Looking sheepish, Jack finally untangled his arms from around Jacob's neck, and stepped back next to his fiancée.

"You sure he's okay, Sam?" Jacob asked worriedly.

That was one hug he'd never seen coming.
