Everyone says that immortality is a gift, a blessing to those who receive it. If only
they knew. I'm not complaining or anything, but life gets tiring, when you're 200 and
something. Oh sure, it's great for the first 60 or so years, but then your friends start
dying, and before you know it, everyone you've ever known are in their graves. Like
Beth, may she rest in peace. She was my best friend, the one I told all my secrets to. But
then, she died, just like them all. Come to think of it, I was the one who killed her.
Painlessly, of course.

And then there's the problem of seeming young while everyone grows old. After
a time, they start to get suspicious, start spreading rumors about 'the guy that looks the
same when his younger cousin looks about 80'. Then they start bothering you about it.
It's annoying, really.

So, what's the point of this little note? Nothing, I guess. Except just to tell
you…think twice before you wish to be immortal. And do try to avoid all the trench
coat wearing, gloomy lookin' guys. They probably mean trouble.
