This is my first Hp fic… though many linger on my mind waiting for me to write them. This one got so bad so that it got to the point where I couldn't listen to the song 'Far Away' by Nickelback without the little Hp fan/writer yelling – Write me! Write me! If you look up the far away lyrics on the internet you'll see this story kind of follows them. I was going to post them on there but you know and its crazy rules. It's far too short but I think I'll do another fic to follow this… but with different POV. Ron, Hermione and a bit of Ginny. This is so fluffy it sounds like a parody so forgive me and my crazy ideas. At least I'm at peace now.

As Harry continued on to the forest after his encounter with Neville he nearly walked into a girl standing still by the edge of the trees. The girl turned around, her eyes searching in the darkness for the person she wanted to see.

The girl was Ginny.

Harry took off his cloak, letting it hang limply at his side, and opened his mouth to say a final goodbye but found the words wouldn't come.

So instead he stood there, his eyes boring into hers, hungrily taking in as much of her as he could.

He leant forward and kissed her softly on the lips, one part of him noting this could be the last time he ever would.

'It was a mistake to end it last summer,' he murmured.

'We could have had so much more time…and it was so hard…being apart. I shouldn't have made you wait. I…' his voice broke and he hung his head. 'I hope you can forgive me.'

Ginny looked deeply at him for a moment. 'Everyone deserves another chance,' she murmured and leant in to kiss him, this one more passionate, more emotional and Harry felt a rush of love for Ginny, his Ginny, the smart, beautiful, funny red-haired girl standing before him, the one he was leaving behind…

He pulled back, his eyes staring into hers, asking her whether she knew he loved her.

'I've missed you so much,' she whispered, tears in her eyes.

'It's been too long,' he replied softly.

'I was always thinking of you, always," said Ginny sincerely, tears running down her face. 'I never…did you ever?' she trailed off.

'Never,' assured Harry.

Ginny seemed to fall forward onto Harry and cried softly into his shoulder. 'It was so hard,' she sobbed. 'But I withstood it, because I knew you'd come back.'

'You know,' he said, needing her to know before he left. 'You do know I…love you don't you?'

She looked up at him. 'Of course I know,' she said. 'Of course I know.'

Harry had to be reassured one more time before he left. 'But, you'd be ok, you could move on if something…happened to me?'

Ginny's eyes opened in shock. 'Harry you don't mean…you can't mean…you're not thinking?' she cried desperately, clutching onto his arm.

'Goodbye Ginny,' he said softly. 'I'll always love you.' He threw the invisibility cloak back over him and walked into the forest, his heart breaking as Ginny sobbed behind him, telling him not to leave her, that she needed him. He had to remind himself why he was leaving her behind, that it was so she wasn't the one who died.

'I'm sorry Ginny,' he whispered while her sobs died away as he went further into the forest. 'I know this is too far away.'

Yes. The End. Hallelujah. R&R if you want.
