I'm tired of being a wolf. I want to be different. I want to be a...vampire.

Those were the words that Seth Clearwater thought for the first time as he walked down near the stream.

The Cullens like me, so maybe they'll change me… No they wouldn't. They wouldn't even change Bella…Bella! That's it! I'll tell Bella and she'll feel sorry for me. She'll change me for sure!

Seth made his way over to the Cullens' house. He was careful to block his thoughts so Edward wouldn't hear. Instead he was singing in his head the song "She Wolf" by Shakira.

There's a she wolf in the closet
Open up and set her free
There's a she wolf in your closet
Let it out so it can breathe

"Seth! Stop singing Shakira! It's annoying," yelled Edward from inside the house.

"Sorry Edward. Hey can I borrow Bella for a minute?" asked Seth, still blocking his thoughts from Edward. He added, "If she's not too busy of anything."

"Be right out Sethy-kins," Bella's sweet voice rang through the house.

Seth sat down on the porch. Grr…I hate that nickname. But whatever keeps Bella happy.

"Here I am Seth. What did you need to see me about?" Seth jumped. Bella was so quiet sneaking up. And pretty. She looked nice in that blue dress that Alice probably bought for her.

"Umm…can we go for a walk? There's something I need to talk to you about." Seth said hesitantly.

Bella raised her eyebrow, "Well okay."

They walked in silence for about 5 minutes. It was a warm, sunny day, very rare for Forks, Washington.

"Bella…" Seth began.

"Yes Seth?" Bella asked in her musical voice.

Don't be a chicken, his thoughts taunted him. "Bella I don't want to be a werewolf anymore. I want to be a vampire, like you. Don't tell me it's hard because it's not. I don't fit in with the werewolves. I love you guys. And that leads me to believe that being a vampire is the best thing for me." Seth said quickly not pausing for air.

There was a moment of silence. Bella looked serious then without warning, she started laughing. Beautiful laughter piercing his heart.

Seth looked down sadly. Bella stopped laughing and said softly, "Seth, I'm not laughing at you. I know why you came to me. Don't be ashamed," she paused. "Seth Clearwater, you are an amazing boy and I wish you knew of how good you are at being a werewolf. Being a friend to vampires makes you even better."

"I don't understand," Seth said confused.

"You may not understand now but you need to be a werewolf. You connect our family and the wolf pack. You may think Jacob does but he doesn't want to be there, you do." Bella concluded.

"I never thought of it that way," Seth said.

"Of course you wouldn't think of it. You're just a silly werewolf." Bella said smirking.

Seth and Bella started walking back to the house. The birds started chirping, it was really a pretty day.

"Bella," Seth started again, "can you not tell the others, not even Edward, about this."

Bella looked like she was thinking. She finally said, "Of course. No one, not even Edward, will know about this."

Seth grinned ear to ear, "Thanks Bella!" He turned to face her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Bye Bella!"

Edward came out of the house and look at Bella quizzically and Bella answered, "Just a werewolf doubting being a werewolf. Can't say anything else."

Edward laughed, "I wasn't going to ask that, even thought it crossed my mind. I was wondering where our daughter was."

"Oh, she's with a werewolf." Bella said walking past Edward inside.
