Playing in the Past - Prologue: Reflection

By Umeko

Just a little something I randomly came up with in English class.
I hate writing author's notes that are longer than the chapter - in this type of story, at least - but I have important stuff to discuss.
I'm quite fond of thinking games myself, so each chapter of this story is going to have a sort of game inserted into the story. It will usually have to do with the words or letters or something along those lines - but I won't tell you what the game is; the game is figuring out what each game is. The one in this prologue is, though random, a bit obvious, just to get you used to what I'll be doing later on. But PLEASE don't reveal the answers in your reviews, because that'll give it away and ruin the fun for others. Email me with whatever you come up with; I'll have a sort of form at the bottom of this chapter with what I'll want.
Also, give me your opinion on whether I should write the rest of the story in first person narration or use third person instead.
I think that's about it. On with the story!

Games.
I've always been
fascinated by games. Even before meeting
the other me. Back then it was simple
fun. Video games, board games, logic games - I
really preferred logic games
over the others, though. Something that can challenge
my mind, my body, my heart. My fondness for
them might
have stemmed from the fact that I live in a game shop, or it may
even be a psychological thing - as a child, knowing my name means
"game," I may have assumed that, by the decision of some
omnipotent being, I had to like games… I
don't think it's either, though.
Strange as it might seem, I think… I think it was fate.

Yeah, really short. ^^;;; Did you figure out the puzzle? :3 If you did, email me (my email is in my profile) with this information:

-Your ff.net penname, or whatever name you want to be known as

-The solution

In the subject header, put "Puzzle Solution." When I write more chapters, you can put more than one solution in a single email, but label which chapter the solutions are for. And DON'T PUT THE ANSWERS IN YOUR REVIEWS!

Oh, yes. The people who figure out solutions will be congratulated in whatever chapter comes next. :3 Good luck!
