Uzai's heart raced fast and hard in his chest as he felt tears start up in his eyes. "Z-Zake.." He cried. He turned to run to him only for a hand to grab him. "GET OFF OF ME!" Uzai yelled, shoving Mike away. Uzai's voice already felt scratchy from yelling, something he did rarely. Uzai ran to Zake's side who was bleeding out on the ground, his body colder than he usually was, his skin more pale. Uzai shook his head when he saw there was no movement, no breath. "No.." He whispered out and set a shaky hand on his pulse, only to find nothing there. "You can't be dead!" Uzai yelled out. "You can't be! I won't let it happen.. Take my blood, take my heart, just don't leave me!" Uzai felt as his heart broke, wishing he could wake up and find that this was all a nightmare. Uzai gripped onto Zake's body tighter and shook it, trying to wake him up despite the slim hopes. "UZAI!" Mark grabbed the collar of his shirt and jerked it back. He slapped him across the face, a deep red mark left behind. Uzai stayed in his spot for a moment before looking up at Mike.
"We need to make everyone leave. Get your shit together and make everyone leave!" Mike ordered at him. Uzai's mind was too blank at the time, unable to think about anything anymore. He wanted to give up and throw everything down, but he couldn't. "A-Alright.." He shook his head and ran down the halls. Without looking where he was going, he ran right into somebody and looked up at him. "Y-you need to get out! There are hunters here." The boy kept his eyes on him and pet his hair softly. "Tis 'kay. We won't hurt ya, we know you are a demon." Uzai felt his eyes widen as he took a step back. "You are one.." He whispered. "It will be okay calm down. We don't want to hurt ya." He tried to grab Uzai's hand. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" Uzai yelled again to him again. Jace reached forward and grabbed his hand, pulling it to him as he clamped a hand over his mouth. "Shud-up. You need to see what all them have been doin'." He pulled Uzai to him and ran down the set of stairs. Uzai felt his body crawl as they went down the stairs, seeing all the broken doors and locks.
Cages. Cages filled with people, and demons. "That is how they get them bloud." Jace looked at the cages of helpless people and demons. They were beaten down, held with one hand up with the other one tied down. They looked starved and beaten, some were kids, some older demons. "I.. I didn't know.." Uzai whispered as he walked over to the cage to grip onto it softly. "They told me to never come down here or question where they got the blood.." Uzai whispered as he felt more tears. He began to question Zake's love for him. He had no idea what to think about anything anymore. Everything was just a lie, wasn't it? Uzai pulled away from the cages and stepped back to let the other hunters in. He wouldn't stop them now.. Uzai was done after all he had seen. Jace walked up behind him and set a hand around him, allowing Uzai to turn and hide his face into his chest, silently crying.
Things seemed to move slower and slower at that point. The demons were free and out along with the humans. Everyone got the care they were needing and all seemed fine at that point. Still, Uzai didn't know what to do with himself. The hunters offered to take him along, but he turned them down. He was given a phone with Jace's number in it anyway, along with a few other hunters' numbers. Uzai found himself in front of the large door and with great hesitation, he raised him hand to knock on the door. Slowly, the door opened as a boy stood there with a large smile. "Uzai!" He lunged himself at Uzai and wrapped his arms around him tight. Uzai wrapped his arms back around him, giving a tight squeeze. "I'm home... David.."
