A/N: I've watched Wakko's Wish like everyday for a week straight, and I'm always like amazed by how Yakko is to his siblings, and the bond between them. And this was born out of that. Just a sappy little piece - Wakko finds out his idol, Don Knotts, died, and Yakko comforts him. It's REALLY short, I'm working on a better longer piece, I just jotted this down.

Oh, yeah, don't own them, just like to mess around a bit.

"Noooooooooooooo!" A distressed cry rang through out the water tower, early on a Saturday morning in February.

Yakko Warner argued with his conscious over whether or not he should continue his attempt at sleeping or wake up and see what his younger brother was so upset about. It was probably just the ceral being stale or something. Sleep was winning when he heard the all too distinct sound of Wakko crying.

Blast that older sibling intuition. Ruining many a snooze fest for generations.

Climbing out of bed, the eldest Warner sib paused once to be sure he wasn't hearing things- Wakko rarely cried- before walking quickly to his brother, who was sitting at the kitchen table, a newspaper in hand, breakfast forgotten. It was that that made Yakko run. Something was really up when Wakko didn't eat.

"Wakko?"

The middle Warner looked at his brother and couldn't say anything, just handed him the paper. It didn't take Yakko's sharp eyes too long to find what had caused the meltdown.

Don Knott's Comedian Dies at Age 81

Knowing his younger brothers love of the comedian, Yakko hugged him close.

"Oh, Wakko, I'm sorry." Yakko wasn't - for once- sure what to say. It wasn't like someone close to them personally had died, but at the same time, Wakko had always liked and dreamed of meeting the man known and loved by many as Barney Fife, and Mr. Roper, and well, as older sibling, the only thing to do was just let his brother grieve. "Shh…it's okay", Yakko whispered, gently rubbing his back as Wakko cried into his chest.

Dot, having heard the cry but deciding to sleep it out, stumbled in sleepily just then, "What's wrong?" She asked, thinking something horrible had happened.

"Don Knott's died and Wakko's just upset." Yakko answered.

"Well, that's sad and everything but I mean it's not like we knew him or anything." Dot stated simply, not sure what the big deal was.

"How would you feel if Mel Gibson died?" Yakko tried to explain. "You don't know him but how many times have you seen Braveheart ?"

Dot's eyes grew, as she comprehended exactly what her brother was feeling, and ran and hugged both her brothers.

That night, unable to sleep because of horrible nightmares involving Mel Gibson and the Grim Reaper, Dot came out to the living room. The TV was glowing, and she heard the Andy Griffith Show theme . She leaned over the edge of the couch. There was Wakko and Yakko. Yakko had his arm around Wakko but patted the couch on the other side of him, when he saw Dot out of the corner of his eyes. Dot snuggled up close, and the three siblings watched Barney Fife well into the wee hours of the morning.

Hey, it's sappy but I love dealing with the Warner's as more than just zany, focusing on their bond as siblings.
