One night at Tarrytown Airport, Jay Jay kept tossing and turning. Or least, how a plane would do it. His friend Herky the helicopter was snoring and it was really bothering him.
"Oh Herky, can't you snore quietly?' thought Jay Jay.
He hoped that he could find something to muffle his friend's snoring, but alas, there was nothing there.
So Jay Jay tried to simply fall asleep, but unfortunately, he was the lightest sleeper between himself, Herky Tracy and Snuffy.
Jay Jay found himself plagued by insomnia caused by Herky's loud (and annoying) snoring
Next morning, as a result of Herky's soring Jay Jay was tired out and unable to think clearly.
'I'm so tired...' he thought
He decided that he would rather not stay up all night again so he went to ask what to do.
He asked Tracy first.
"Well just tell him nicely that his snoring's been keeping you awake. Here do you wanna go to Smiling Meadows and do slingshots with me?"
"Sorry Tracy, but I'm too tired." Yawned Jay Jay. "Maybe later, okay?"
"Okay." shrugged Tracy and she took off.
But Jay Jay thought that saying so would hurt his feelings.
"I know -Old Oscar knows an awful lot. I'll ask him."
So Jay Jay found Old Oscar in the hanger.
"Old Oscar, I need your help."
"What with, Jay Jay?"
"Well, Herky was snoring really loudly last night and it kept me up." He said. "Now I don't know what to do. Tracy told me to just be honest, but there has to be another way."
"That may be, but Herky can't anything about his snoring for good if you don't tell him." The old plane informed.
"Well, I guess so..."sighed Jay Jay.
"It really is the best thing to do." Old Oscar said.
"Thanks, Old Oscar. I'll tell him."
...
That evening, Jay Jay explained everything to Herky.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Asked the helicopter.
"I didn't want you to feel hurt if I just said so." The blue jet explained.
"Jay Jay, you don't need to do that. Just tell me next time, and I will sort it. Deal?"
Jay Jay smiled.
"Deal!"
That night, Jay Jay slept peacefully.
