A/N: a rough idea, but maybe a good one? I dunno, you can be the judge of that.

Kyosuke's House for the Mentally Insane and Traumatized
~ An Apology and Answers ~
Today marks the tenth anniversary of their deaths. I know, many of you blame me for the deaths of my patients. And I cannot blame you for doing so. However, I think that it should be known to all, now that I have been put into confinement, and the head of the Ministry of Defense has stepped down, that I did not go into the treatment for the students of Class 3-E willingly.
No, I believed - knew, that children of their age would not be cured of their so-called illnesses or trauma by being taken and hidden away from the public. But the public did not listen to any reasoning. They were all afraid for the children. Afraid of the children more than anything. After all, they fought hard to defend the monster who had held them 'hostage'. They had been trained by the government to kill.
They forced them away, as if they were monsters themselves. Into my care.
Why me?
Well, I was the only one Karasuma-san trusted to treat the kids well, like people, and not lab rats. Of course, his superiors wouldn't have any of that. They made sure that, the children would never see anyone again. That they would never leave. They were isolated from the world until the very end.
How long did they live?
Many of you know the day: March 18th, 20XX. The day that it was announced, that they all died. Well, they didn't all just die on the same day. No, not even in the same years. But the Ministry didn't want to deal with the families until everyone had gone.
Most of them lived past the second year. Only one child died.
In the third year, four people died.
In the fourth and fifth year, seven died.
In the sixth year, two died.
In the eighth year, only one.
And in the ninth year, thirteen died.
I wish that I could have saved them.
Why didn't I? I'm a certified doctor and therapist.
But, they were all beyond saving.
How do you tell the children that there is hope for them, when they can never leave the manor even if they are 'cured'?
