Author's note: I don't own Wolverine

Saturday Air

He inhaled the afternoon air, with a loving expression on his grizzled face, letting it fill his lungs until he could hold no more. And then when its taste grew stale, he reluctantly released it back to the world.

The trees merrily waved to him, as the wind danced through their leaves. A warm summer breeze gently massaged his shoulders, and caressed his neck, easing the constant pain in his shattered body, and filling in his scars. Drinking in the day, Logan swept a leg over his chopper, and grasped the handle bars the cold metal embracing his warm touch. With a sigh he revved it up, and shot off into the day.

As Logan tore into the open highway at breakneck speed, his motorcycle cooed and purred beneath him, overjoyed at being out on the open road. Even as his surrounding bled together in a blur of sky, road, and trees, Logans' sharp onyx eyes still managed to pick up the subtle details of nature.

The clouds overhead gently swirled together, smiling as they flirted with the golden sunlight. Teasing him by letting him shine in one moment, and denying him the next.

Branches alongside the road, groaned slightly as they bent under the weight of the denizens of the deep forest community. Squirrels romped about twisting their lithe forms around ,swimming through the breeze, as the cardinals flitted about singing their songs together in a forest symphony.

An ivory wolf stopped mid trot, her gleaming pale coat contrasting with the forest, and eyed Logan as he sped through. Meeting the animals gaze, he slowed down until he came to a complete stop. The wolf didn't run in fact she sauntered up to Logan lazily tossing her voluminous tail back and forth. Holding out a gloved hand to her, Logan waited.

After a moments hesitation she gently licked his palm, her warm saliva brimming with life, and laid her head in his hand.

"Sometimes life is good..."
