'CRAP'

'love. DAMMIT REN YOU ALWAYS RUIN MY STORIES AS THEY GET TO THE EXCITING PART'

'You type too slow. Anway I gtg LOVE YA~''

'YOU SPELLED ANYWAY WRONG. AND GET BACK HERE YOU BIT-'

I laughed as I turned off the monitor.

That charming young lady you just met was my best friend Yukii. And that snickering Ren is yours truly,

moi~

Oh how rude of me, I haven't introduced myself. I am Lishiro Ren. Freshly 16, short, artistic and blonde. Actually not blonde at all; more of a golden ray of sunshine and happiness. Yeah I went there.

I live with my grandmother, who doesn't like me all that much, and my twin brother: Ryu.

Enough about me, I know you want to read the story, so I'll get back to it.

As I leaned back in my chair to stretch my aching muscles, a breeze lazily drifted in from my open window. It ruffled my baggy t-shirt and pajama pants. I giggled at the feeling of my worn out Tee against my skin.

"Wait… I never opened my window…" I muttered to myself. As I closed it I felt a cooler breeze against the back of my neck. But this time, words came along with the chilled wind.

"A fresh spirit I see~ I shall claim you as mine before others decide to take you as their own~"

My eyes widened for a millisecond before I whipped around ready to yell at my twin brother. "RYU DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT YOU BAST-" I stopped mid-curse. In front of me was a large centipede like creature. However instead of that cute little buggy face they're supposed to have, this one had a look of hunger and lust.

It inhaled deeply, and before I knew it, had pinned me to the ground with one of its fangs. The fangs had pierced through my shoulder and wrist. All I could feel was an icy numbness slowly working its way throughout my body.

"I'm gonna die… I'm going to be killed by a centipede…" I whispered quietly.

"If you'd rather it be by a face of your own kind, be my guest." The creature hissed through its teeth. Its head seemed to shimmer for a moment, and then morphed into one of a human. Its eyes still had that unblinking hungry stare and its skin still seemed to have an exoskeleton on it.

THAT snapped me out of my trance.

I screamed and thrashed, searching for anywhere I could kick or hit. My brown eyes found a spot, and I aimed my foot. Not before saying:

"You know what my favorite ballet is?" My eyes glittered as the centi-human looked taken back.

"No and why you foolish little spirit?"

"I'd thought I'd like to let you know how it is, since you'll be seeing the Nutcracker soon."

I grinned evilly and kicked as hard as I could upward. My foot made contact and for a few seconds, nothing happened.

Then a wicked howl rang out from the human-pede.

"Don't mess with a three time soccer champ or you'll get crotch-shot within the second." Feeling triumphant I laughed and did a small victory dance. Unfortunately this monster must have a groin of steel, because he was back up in a second.

I backed into the wall trying to get away. Once again the creature lashed out at me with its fangs, but this time, all went dark.
