~Memories of the past~

Drew walked in to his living room to find his brown haired bandana wearing teary eyed wife watching old video's of herself and best friend.

"May honey what are you doing?" Drew said sitting next to the teary eyed girl and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm just watching some old videos of me and Dawn." May said not taking her eyes off the two girls dancing around at the younger Haydens wedding "Why did we ever have to have that stupid fight!" Now May was crying heavily into Drews chest.

"May calm down you know I hate to see you cry." Drew whispered into Mays ear slowly rubbing his hand up and down her back for comfort.

"I'm sorry I just miss her talking to her! I miss sitting around talking about you and Paul then to have you two walk in and us just try not to laugh."

"Wait so you were talking about us? You liar! You both always said you weren't!" Drew said faking shock to try and make May laugh.

May giggled into Drews chest then she quickly sat up and lightly slapped his chest "stop trying to make me laugh! Either you can leave and let me cry here alone watching these videos or you can stay here and tell me what I should do while comforting me."

"I choose the second one." Drew said opening his arms to give his lover a strong comforting hug.

May happily accepted the hug.

After a few moment of May steadily crying Drew tells her "you can ask her to forgive you."

May lifted herself off of drew but not enough to break the embrace. She looked into his dark emerald eyes confused "but I-its to late now. She will never forgive me."

"May…" Drew slipped his hand underneath her chin "sweetie its never to late."

"b-but? Wh-what if? I-I can't!" May said trying to say three sentences at one time.

Drew completely broke the embrace with May and put both his hands on her cheeks then turned her head so they were making eye contact "may! No more! No more buts! No more what ifs! No more I can'ts! You can all you have to do is tell her that you sorry that you never meant that fight then walk away! You don't need to ask her for anything else! Understand?" Drew said never looking away never moving his hand from there place upon her cheeks .

"okay… I'll try." May said giving Drew a promising look.

May was standing around holding a bouquet of tulips , Dawns favorite flower, she was ready to spill everything to Dawn but didn't know how s she was just standing at the gate looking at Dawn trying to build up the courage to go actually talk to her and see her again. May hasn't seen her since that day of the fight.

After a few moments May was able to build up enough strength to walk over and actually talk to her.

"Dawn I don't want to hear or see you do anything to stop me from talking just listen. I'm sorry for starting that fight. truthfully I don't want to remember. Dawn you are my best friend I could never live without you. I need you there when I'm at my breaking point. I couldn't go through all this stress without your help." May took a moment to think "I guess I'm just asking you to forgive me."

May sighed and leaned down to place the tulips on the headstone marked Dawn Berlitz 1982- 2010 marked below that it red in memory of a loving wife and mother also a the greatest friend. We will never forget you no matter what you will always be in or hearts.

May rested her hand a top the head stone. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath "Wait for me." May whispered into the wind.

As May walked away a light breeze blew around her. She turned and gave one last look to the grave. She wasn't positive but she had a feeling that it was Dawns way of saying she forgives her.
