Chapter one Homeless

Chloe's POV

Since I got the bee miraculous, I've been walking between home and school since the distance between the two places isn't even that far.

While walking, I saw a homeless man. I saw him shaking his change in a coffee cup.

"Do you have an Euro to spare?" He asked me.

"Give it up. No one's going to by it." I told him knowing how the majority of the people begging on the streets are drug addicts or alcoholics.

"Please, I'm hungry." He told me.

'It's not true. Bet if I give him any money, he's going to spend it on booze.' I thought turning my back on him. I began to walk away when Pollen, my Kwami, popped her head out of my purse.

"Chloe, what if it's really true about him being hungry? What if the money isn't for him? He might have a family." This made me turn around, walk back to him, and ask questions. All of which he answered.

How did you get here? How did you end up on the street? Where did it go wrong? His house had burned down killing his wife and leaving him and his daughter. No one would hire him due to the fact that the fire had damaged some of his nerves and left him partially disabled.

'What would I'd do if it were me?'

I met his daughter. She was only six years old and although she had lost her mother and was living on the streets, she was one of the happiest people I knew. She believes that her mom was watching her and her dad from Heaven. She was raised as a christian. She also believes that things will get better for the two of them.

They did. I made sure of it.

I managed to find the man a job at Daddy's hotel and even made sure they had a room there. I even walk the girl to and from school every day. I pass it on my way to and from my school anyway, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

After I met those two, I found myself having a new point of view towards the people living on the streets. Wishing I could get in their heads to see what they see when they look at me, realizing that if things were different, I could of lived their life instead.
