Your Worst Nightmare
Summary: A run in with Melodie during a family dinner at a restaurant in New York brings Cindy giving a warning.
Cindy laughed as she smoothed down her form fitting yellow dress, lacing her arm with her husband, Bart's. Jory and Toni were beside them. They were celebrating Jory's dance studio winning an award. All knowing how damn proud Cathy would be if she were here to see her son succeeding.
She was taking her seat when she spotted her. One look at Bart and Jory hinted that they had yet to lay their eyes on her. Narrowing her eyes determinedly, telling her family that she was going to go to the bathroom before walking the distance to the other table. She came to a stop in front of the dark haired pair, forcing a fake smile upon her lips. "Oh my god!" She squealed, thanking the gods for her acting abilities. "Melodie! It's been way too long!" She laughed, leaning in to hug the dark haired woman whom she despised.
Melodie froze as her husband gazed at her in confusion, wondering who this young woman could possibly be.
Cindy smirked slyly and slid into a seat across from them.
"Excuse me, but how do you know my wife?" The man questioned, eyes locked on her.
"Oh, well Melodie and I were just in a dance class together. My mother taught it. She taught my brother, Jory as well. He actually has his own dance studio. They won at a big event and that's why we're all out here celebrating. I never expected to see Melodie. But when I did? Well, when I did, I just knew I had to greet my old friend." Cindy grinned charmingly, holding her hand out for him to shake. "I'm Cindy by the way. Cindy Foxworth."
"Alex Rainer." The man answered, taking her hand. "Melodie never told me about you."
Cindy gave Melodie a cool glance. "No, I suppose she wouldn't." She replied, voice filled with ice. "Well, I should probably get back to my table. It was great seeing you again, Mels. And nice to meet you Alex. Although, I'd watch out if I were you. This one's a heartbreaker."
And with that, she sauntered away from the past and over to her present and future.
