It was all his fault. That's what simon kept telling himself. Kamina had died and it was all his fault. Everyone knew it. Yoko, the girl he loved, hated him because he killed Kamina. Not just Yoko, eveyone hated him! It was then that he decided he would run away. Then he wouldn't get anyone else killed. So he packed up his things,leaving his golden drill on his bed, and snuck out. 'It would be better he without me' he thought.

yoko's P.O.V

It had been 2 days science kamina died and I had calmed down. 'Now I feel really bad for yelling at Simon' I thought. 'well I'll say sorry to him at lunch'

As I walked into the cafiteria, Simon wasn't there. " Hey, has anyone seem Simon?" I was worried about him.

"No. He probably died." one guy said

"I think he jumped" said another

"..." did they still hate him?

"I'll go check his room" I said

"why would you care about that traitor?" I ignored him and kept walking. 'I hope he's okay' when I reached his door I knocked. "Simon?" "..." "Simon are you in there?" "..." "SIMON IF YOU DON'T OPEN THIS DOOR NOW I"M BUSTING IT DOWN!" I yelled it at the top of my lungs."..." There was no response so I kicked the door in and when I looked inside I gasped. The room was empty except for a note and Simon's golden drill. "Where did you go, Simon?" ' I feel like crying. Where did he go?!' "I guess I'll read his note" I spoke to no one in particular. The note said

'To whoever is reading this I have run away. I don't expect you to find this anytime soon but, I thought you should know. I have run away because everyone hates me. Kamina is dead and it's all my fault. Please tell yoko that I am extremely sorry. I don't think she will care though. from, simon .'

As I read this I started crying. I never thought that he was that upset. When I stoped crying I packed up suplies and went to look for simon

Simon's P.O.V

I have been walking for days looking for a quiet place to die. Where people won't be bothered with things like burying me. I find a nice remote cave and lied down.

TIME SKIP:36 HOURS

THIRD PERSON P.O.V

Yoko was walking,looking for Simon, and was about to give up. That was when she saw him,Simon,lying in a cave. When she got close and looked at him she gasped "Simon noo!" he looked dead. but that was when he opened his eyes and smiled. he said"Yoko you're here. this must be a dream then."

"No, it's not Simon."

"Of course it is, you hate me and wouldn't come find me."

"I'm sorry but it's just that i was upset .You wouldn't know this but I was in love with him and-"

"I know"

"What?"

"I know you loved him"

"B-but how!?"

"After you left my tent I followed you and saw you and kamina kissing."

"What?!"

"That's why I couldn't fight. I couldn't concentrate because the only girl I ever loved didn't love me back. That's why Kamina jumped out of Gurren to talk to me. That's why it's my fault he's dead. If he didn't need to talk he'd still be alive"

"..." she didn't know what to say. How could she? Simon loved her and saw her with kamina.

"heh. Alright bye Yoko."

"where are you going?"

"To die somewhere quiet."

"No!"

"What?"

"listen when I stoped in your tent I Was going to tell you something."

"What?"

"I love you and Kamina but I thought you were too young."

"..."

"Simon?"

"Do you mean it?"

"Of course"

"Thank you"
