A/N: This is just something very shitty and very random. It's almost about 12 here and my birthday is about to be over but I just had to gift myself a Love so Life fanfic. And a new LsL chapter was out today! This is the best birthday gift ever! (yeah even though the scanlator out there doesn't even know I exist but thank you so much!) BTW what is the official ship name for these two? SeiHaru sounds cute... so does Matsu/Naka XD I don't know

So that was it.

The ring was in her hands. He was down on his knees. Baring his heart.

Thinking nothing could be more cliché than this…

But his love wasn't.

For all the little things she did… he'd find himself falling for her;

For her smile as she welcomed him home:

Just being there, she made it easy for him.

He could pass out right at the door with the relief…

So secure. So safe.

He knew he was home.

He was home.

For the way she cocked her head to disapprove of Aoi's antics:

Just that gesture… that was enough to gently guide him.

He could not keep himself from smiling…

So gentle. So nice.

He knew was fine.

He was fine.

For her voice as she read to Akane:

Just the comforting tone could soothe away all his worries.

He could almost doze off like a toddler himself…

So warm. So cozy.

He knew he was content.

He was content.

For the shine in her eyes when they went out:

Just her company was all that made it so much more colorful.

He could let go of everything and just be happy…

So dreamy. So lively.

He knew he was happy.

He was happy.

When she'd made it home, made it a family, he didn't know.

When she'd become so indispensable to their lives, he didn't know.

When she'd captured his heart irretrievably, he didn't know.

All he knew… was that she was there and it was alright.

She was the shelter and he was safe.

She was the warmth and he was healing.

She was beautiful and he was in love.

His love wasn't bound by conventions…

He was content to just love her and not have anything in return.

He was okay with looking like an idiot and have her laugh.

So even if it was the most cliché thing ever…

The ring was in her hands. And he was down on his knees. Baring his heart.

And that… was it.

A/N: So yeah, happy birthday to me XD

If this poem-like/whatever fanfic didn't suck so bad, here is a good news: I'M GONNA WRITE A MULTI-CHAPTER AU FANFIC FOR LSL SOON! Something of an 18th century romance. I'm not making commitments about the publish and update dates though… I still have exams going on.

Also, the last two chapters (87, 88) summaries just blew me out of this galaxy! If you haven't read it, go read and prepare for a bout of hysteria. OHMYGOD it was the most perfect thing ever! And I'm just hating on all the rants about the "slow-pace" of romance because come on, we don't get to complain! Kaede-sensei's work is perfect the way it is and the last chapter couldn't have been more in keeping with the characters'… well, character. I love this manga and I don't care what people say but it is the best thing ever. Not for the subtle romance but for the real slice-of-life stuff it has captured.

So anyway… ah, I had so much to say x_x sorry

Thank you for reading!
