The Tardis, floating in space… A serene picture. Easily enhanced by the faint discordant notes and laughter coming from inside.

"No, no like this~" Rose offers. She's sitting next to The Doctor, dressed in a sharp suit as ever, on a bench in front of a piano. She easily plays the beginning notes to Frank Sinatra's 'Always', but moves slowly, letting his eyes follow her movements. "You just keep hitting one note too far at the end, it's not that big a reach, honestly." She says, smiling.

"You're just making it look easy" He says, grinning at her. Oh he just loves teasing her, but she's used to it and can send his own medicine back.

"Well, if the Time Lord can't keep up, there's not much I can do to help…" she says, smirking.

"Now I never said that…" He says, promptly playing the opening notes perfectly.

Rose just shakes her head and chuckles. Time Lord pride… "Alright, here's the next section then-" she says, turning her attention to playing out the next few bars of the melody. She turns back to him to find his attention not on the notes, but on her.

"You're gorgeous, Rose." He says, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. She smiles and brushes off the compliment, ever thinking she's just a shop girl. "Nah, I'm just a human. You're so much… more than I'll ever be." She says, smiling anyway.

He just shakes his head, smiling and focusing on the lesson again. "I'm sorry, Miss Tyler, I think I missed the notes you just played." "Well then," She replies, smirking, "Maybe you should stop staring at the teacher." He laughs, replying, "Good one!" before attentively watching her fingers move gracefully over the keys. "Do you think you can handle that?" she says, turning back to him, beaming.

He starts playing the next section, making several errors. "Ah, these hands just don't like the piano." He adds, flexing his fingers. "No, no, it's easy, just go like this-" she counters, leaning over slightly, gently placing his hands on the piano and her hands on top of his, guiding his fingers through the melody. "It's simple, really," She says, looking up at him again. "You just-" But she's cut off by the look in his eyes, like she's the only thing in the world.

However she only has a moment to see that, because he leans in to kiss her softly. It's soft and sweet and gentle, and only a second long before he pulls away, leaving her blinking.

"You… I…" Rose stammers. He prevents her from having to think of what to say by murmuring, "No, you are. You're perfect, Rose." Before kissing her again, only slightly longer this time.

Rose is ready this time, kissing him back for that moment before murmuring back, "Not nearly as perfect as you, Doctor." Cupping the side of his face, she looks into his eyes and smiles. He grins and rests his hand over hers for a moment before saying, "I think I'm ready for the next section, Ma'am."

She laughs, beaming and radiating joy, "Alright, if you think you can handle it!"

"Oh, I'm sure I can. I have a brilliant teacher." He counters, grinning widely himself.

They make a perfect couple, enjoying the quiet moments as much as the running, spending the rest of the day playing music together.
