"Roxas?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you think…we'll always be together like this?"
"I would like to hope so… but with every meeting, a parting must follow."
"I'd miss you."
"Axel…"
The sheets rustled. Their limbs tangled together, as if they tried to make themselves whole.
"Axel… We won't always be together like this. But it's not how often we're together that's important… it's how much we think about each other, right?"
"…It's how much we think about each other, right?"
Roxas felt an odd feeling crawling up his spine. There was something familiar about what Hayner had just said.
There were quick flashes across his memory, flashes so quick that he only caught a little bit of the thoughts his brain was throwing at him- red hair, a cheeky grin and skin on skin.
He shuddered.
"Roxas? You okay?"
"Yeah…sure…"
Uneasy, Roxas willed himself to shake off that feeling.
It couldn't have meant anything…could it?
That night, he dreamed about a red-haired man in black and woke up panting.
