" Do you really want to do this, you can still walk away you know
" Do you really want to do this, you can still walk away you know."
"Brother please, not today, not today of all days. Your suppose to be happy for me on my wedding day."
I saw him shudder as he turned to me and took my hand, his blue eyes clouded with grief, sadness, and a little anger,
"Celena, I am happy for your wedding, but out of all the men on Gaia why this one?"
I placed my free hand on top of his, looking into his eyes as I spoke,
" Because he is the man I love and that is that. Allen the war has been over for three years now, could you try to set aside your differences for just one day?"
Allen sighed, his grip on my hand had gotten tighter on my hand and after a moment, he let go. He kissed me on the cheek and with me taking his arm we walked out of the room together. As we walked down the hall together, I put my head on his shoulder and smiled for reassurance. He gave me a small smile, then after a while it faded and he went back to walking, his face a plain slate, as if he were walking me to my death. We came to the doors after what seem like an eternity and I hear the wedding march begin to play. My heart started to beat faster and a smile came to my face that would not go away. When the doors opened, the music that was being muffled was louder and more vibrant, as if our entering the room had brought it to life. And when we started to walk down the aisle of the Cathedral of Asturia, my eyes locked with red ones.
At the alter he stood, dressed in full armor, his Zaibach crest shining on the clasp of his black cloak, which was thrown over his shoulders. To me he look just the same except instead of the golden mantel upon his brow it was a red and silver with crest of Zaibach woven into it, proving his state as king. Nothing about the way he was dressed surprised me, in fact I expected it. My brother almost died when I told him I did not care what the "infamous war criminal", as Allen was so fond of calling him, wore, as long as he showed up. And I wasn't even shocked that he picked his ex-enemy, the man that destroyed his beautiful face, to be his best man. No, the thing that surprised me the most as I walked toward him was the look on his face. I didn't know this look, and trust me out of all the people in this world I know all of his looks. This one was strange to me, his eyes were glassy slightly wide, and they never seemed to leave mine. His mouth was open a little and his breathing was slow. Even the color of his face was different, he seemed less pale then usual, a slight blush too his face. Soon I was a couple feet from him as he stepped down from the altar. A small smile graced his pale features when Allen was 'forced' to offer my hand to him. After a minute or so of my brothers stalling and my hand was hand his, the devils smile that I loved returned to his face, and he playfully sneered at my brother as he walked my toward the altar, Allen turning with a huff toward his seat. We walked to the priest, and as we do so, he lends in and whispers in my ear,
"You look beautiful in white, my lady."
I smile at his words and whisper back,
"And you look as handsome as always, kind gentlemen."
His chuckle is all I can remember of the ceremony for in a flash a ring was slid on my finger and I felt tears running down my face as I kiss him, and become, much to my brother anguish, the wife of Dilandau Albatou.
