Because this is totally how it really happened.

Shoot me.

Really, there was no reason for him to bring it up. But as they were taking a walk Jaden began sharing his story about the time when his friend Chazz was possessed by some sort of ethereal light society. Which, in turn, prompted Yusei to mention the one time when Crow once acted like he was possessed just to scare this guy into leaving his shelter for the night so he ad his friends could be safe from the rain.

So, of course, the only rational thing would be to contribute to this weird story telling session.

Well, at least he thinks so.

He tries to think about it, and is suddenly overwhelmed with the number of things he could say. The young high schooler was about to give up trying when Jaden gave him an unintentional push.

"What about you Yugi?" He asked excitedly, still quite nervous around the King of Games. "Any weird crazy stories?"

He scratched his cheek, embarrassed. "Honestly, yeah," Which is very true. "but I don't really know if you two would believe me."

Jaden and Yusei gave each other incredulous looks. When neither said anything, the shortest of the three gave them a curious look of his own. "Uh, guys?"

Jaden shook his head. "I went to a high school that taught education based around a card game that was really nice for about the first two years before I travelled into an alternate dimension and killed all my friends because my boyfriend was missing."

"I live in a society where the greatest form of television is watching people play card games on motorcycles and besides outlandish prejudice and poverty issues combined with a weird mark motif that's about the only thing going on." Yusei said, slightly exasperated.

It was silent for a moment.

"...I finished an ancient Egyptian puzzle that houses a pharaoh who can't really remember anything and who takes over my body everytime I duel for some reason and we're practically each other's soul mates but for some reason a ton of people have an issue with him and want this puzzle that has super intense dark powers and it's about the size of my head and made out of pure gold and yet I wear it as a necklace."

The three stared at each other for a few minutes, before Jaden sighed in resignation, looking over to Yusei as he spoke.

"Yugi wins."

And they kept walking.
