Hey guys. This is a quick little story I wrote on a field trip for school. It has drug reference so I'm marking it Mature just in case. Enjoy .
Something Wrong
Claudia felt safe in her world. The colors began to brighten as she let herself go. Her bed became the stump of a tree covered in moss. Her room became a tree house. Faries flew in her window, such pretty little things. But they were also very clumsy. They were knocking into walls and everything else and laughing as if it were the most natural thing.
A gnome came out from under her bed. He sat next to her and offered her a cookie from his cookie jar. Claudia took one. It tasted like a mushroom.
The faries were looking up at her dizzily now. The gnome offered them a cookie. They hungrily ate the poor crumbly morsel til' there where only a few crumbs left. The fairy's tummies were swollen. The gnome gave Claudia another cookie. It also tasted like a mushroom. But this one had frosting and sprinkles on top. And a cherry.
Now everything looked like it was spinning. It was making her sick and tired. She slowly sant into her bed and drifted off to sleep.
She woke the next morning. Groggy, she pulled herself from her bed and went downstairs for breakfast. Maybe the unicorn would be making pancakes again. It always made Claudia laugh when he wore that spatula on his horn. Or, maybe, the giant frog with overalls would make eggs and bacon.
Claudia walked into the kitchen just to freeze in shock. A man and woman were pouring cereal into bowls for two loud little girls. A baby was crying in her high chair. A toaster popped. Something had gone terribly wrong.
