Reminiscence: Before The Trial

Summary: Manfred von Karma's thoughts right before the first part of the trial for case 1-4. Contains spoilers.

Reminiscence: Before The Trial

Edgeworth today shall be found 'Guilty' for the murder of Robert Hammond.

My perfect Guilty record has existed for 40 years.

I won't let some foolish amature change that (once I learned his name, I could only laugh at the irony). Never!

For years I've been planning this. Ever since I took that damned son of Gregory Edgeworth under my win, I've been plannign this, my perfect revenge (as perfect as myself).

Robert Hammond's death.

This is my perfect revenge.

While he didn't do it, Miles Edgeworth WILL be found guilty of this sin, and the true culprit will go free.

And should, by some near-impossible stroke of misfortune fail to find him Guilty (although he will...)

I shall find my unsuspecting apprentice guilty of DL-6.

My plan is pure perfection.

Everything I do is pure perfection, and this trial shall be no different.

For I am Manfred von Karma.

I cannot lose, because it is impossible for I to lose any case.

Fourty years of justice.

Fourty years of all 'Guilty' verdicts. And that shall continue for the rest of my days.

This lawyer, Phoenix Wright... how pathetic. According to what I have heard, his first case was to defend someone nammed 'Harry Butz', and I wasn't suprised he won.

He went up against that idiotic disgrace of prosecutors who can only defeat rookies, Winston Payne.

It was only once this rookie went up against Miles he caught my intrest...

I knew he would defend my idiotic pupil (Miles had already lost not one, but TWO cases! I, the great Manfred von Karma taught him all I know and he still lost! How... imperfect!). As Miles livved with I and Franziska, he mentioned something from his childhood. His 'first trial', a idiotic and foolish Classroom Trial.

I have perfectly prepared my witness, Lotta Hart, and should the time have to come I have also prepared Yannni.

'Phoenix' a mystylogical bird that can arise from it's ashes once it dies and bursts into flame.

'Wright' ... self explanitory.

I'll see to it, Wright, that you should change your last name to 'Wrong', as I'll debunk every theory you have.

I'll see to it, Phoenix, that you'll never be able to stop hiding in your pathetic, amateur ashes.

Phoenix Wright...

Today, in court, I shall destory you.

"Mr. von Karma, trial begins in five minutes." Said a baliff, once he spotted me outside. I perfectly entered the courtroom...

"The trial for Miles Edgeworth shall now begin." Said the imperfect Judge. I've seen this man several times in this courtroom. Gullible, foolish, and more likely to side with the prosecution rather then the imperfect defense.

"The defense is ready, Your Honor." Said a man with spikey hair... Phoenix Wright? this is who my apprentice lost to? ... That is... more pathetic then I even imagined. Miles has absolutely no righ tto call himself a prosecution lawyer.

"Well, it would appear that the prosecution-"

"Silence. I was just takigna meaningful pause before I spoke." Idiotic Judge...

"Oh! Well, I'm so sorry... does the prosecution have an opening satement?"

"Decisive evidence. A decisive witness. What more could possibly be required?"

Yes...

Miles Edgeworth.

Phoenix Wright.

Today, you two shall plumit and fall to the pits of Hell itself.

This trial shall be perfect.

A perfect 'Guilty' verdict shall be issued.

No one can defeat I.

For I am perfection incarnate.

For I am Manfred von Karma.
