The Best Instrument in the Band

I'm a horn player, so this may or may not come as a surprise to some people. Read this, and leave your glowing adoration or rage at my heresy behind in a review. I love to hear what everyone has to say.

But without further ado: here it is. Who the best instrument is... and why.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some instruments are just more godly than others. You know what I'm talking about. The instrument that bathes anyone who plays it in a golden glow, and makes them look immortal. It makes them beautiful, or godly, or JUST PLAIN HOT. It doesn't matter what the actual person looks like. They could be the ugliest person on the face of the earth, but the instant they get that instrument in hand, they become beautiful and godly and totally out of your reach, O Unworthy Mortal.
I'm a horn player. I won't deny that. So my vision may or may not be clouded by what others see as the truth. It'll probably be clouded by what I see as the truth, but this is, of course, why I'm writing this: to tell others what I believe to be true, and hope that some may begin to agree with me, for it is truth.
But the instrument I'm talking about is pretty obviously the best: it gets beautiful solos, but it's difficult to play, so it's hard to find. Directors love, cherish, and at times even hoard people who play this instrument. They either love themselves or hate themselves, and will always be smart. And, of course, the instrument is a strange, beautiful work of art, and can't help but make them look gorgeous when they hold it.
It's hard to tune, but that isn't important. Once they start getting good tone out of it, tuning can go out the window, because the tone can be powerful and bright, or mellow, joyous or mournful in its melancholy. It can be any number of things.
If you don't want to have your precious illusion shattered of whatever YOU believe the best instrument to be, do not read any further. But if you are willing to accept new knowledge, the keep reading... and I will name for you this instrument that I have described.
I'm talking, of course, about the oboe. What else could it be? Really? What did you think I was talking about?
