Bonne journee!

Did I say that right? Heh, anyway, this is a re-written fic of my other fanfiction, "Gaasaku fic". I hope you enjoy reading this!

Disclaimer: You see this site? It's called fanfiction dot net. You see the title? It's called Gaasaku fic re-write. I do not own Naruto, just the story.

Summary: All he needed to do was dig in her brain to make her realize.

Notes: It's going to be hard to keep Gaara in character with this hurt/comfort theme goin' on, so bear with me.

On with the story…

Sakura stood in her balcony watching the trees rustle. She rubbed her arms, which were covered in tiny goosebumps from the cold breeze.

Gray, flat clouds covered the sky. They looked wispy, like they were whisked until they were light.

It's going to rain soon.

Sakura harshly wiped her flushed face. She turned away from the balcony and decided to call it a night, but halted when Gaara stood in her way.

Sakura glared at him, "What are you doing here?" She was tired, and exhausted. She didn't want to see any visitors appearing uninvited in her home right now.

Gaara quirked an eyebrow at her. "Haruno, what the hell are you doing with yourself?"

"I don't know."

Gaara was one of those who didn't try to comfort Sakura about Sasuke. He's Gaara of the Desert. Why should he bother?

"you're still pathetic." Gaara shook his head, "why are you wasting your life away on that lowlife? Face reality for once."

That hit Sakura hard.

"Lowlife! What's that supposed to mean?" Sakura shouted, her voice cracking from all the weeping. "No, Gaara. You're the lowlife. Why is your mother dead in the first place?"

Gaara widen his eyes just a little bit you wouldn't even notice. Even with that little movement, he was... hurt.

Sakura realized her mistake. "Oh my gosh, Gaara. No, I didn't mean it like that at all. I don't-" Gaara raised a dry hand, "It's fine."

Sakura hesitated before speaking. "I love him. Sasuke…" Sakura laughed bitterly and looked down at her tiny feet.

"LOVE him." Gaara mimicked, emphasizing 'love'.

"Yes, LOVE him."

Gaara crossed his arms over his chest. "And how do you know exactly?"

"It's...well... it's called love at first sight." Sakura stammered.

Gaara snorted. "Yeah… I don't believe in that crap. You meant to say lust at first sight, am I correct?

If I heard correctly from a few gossipers, you barely know him and he barely knows you. I don't understand."

Sakura shook her head. "I'm not going to be lectured by some guy who doesn't know a thing about my relationships with other people."

"Sakura, have you ever heard of the quote, 'when you realize how perfect everything is you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky'?" Silent moments passed by between the two. "I don't know why you're so upset about this." Gaara muttered and walked to the edge of the balcony.

"I'll just get going. You take care."

Sakura watched him disappear down the streets and glanced up towards the sky.

"Gaara of the Desert of all people." She mumbled and went inside.
