A/N: Okay… so another one of my wacky oneshots, huh? But this one was actually inspired by something… I reread the first manga one day while I was in Germany and it occurred to me just how jealous Integra was of Seras… So I wrote this story…

She could hear them… and she didn't know why it hurt so much because she could hear them nearly every night. She was losing it, and she didn't even try to keep him in check any longer. What was the point? She wouldn't love again. She wouldn't bear an heir. He'd soon have his fucking wish… she didn't even think she had a purpose anymore. Fuck duty and fuck responsibilities… for fate had been too cruel with this blow. She had known him for over ELEVEN FUCKING YEARS! And then he fell for some two-bit whore, weak vampire scum. Integra Hellsing stood up and walked to her balcony, opening the ornate glass doors that kept London's cold winds away. The frigid air felt good on her warm skin until it caused her to go completely numb. It was time. She sat on the edge of the balcony and closed her eyes to the three-story fall. Then, she simply let go.

Alucard knocked on the door a third time before deciding to let himself in. A strong draft of icy wind hit him instantly. That was odd. His master hardly ever opened her window.

" 'Tegra? 'Tegra… are you in here?"

Silence was his only answer. Then he smelled her… too strongly. The age-old vampire was on the balcony in seconds, looking over the edge frantically… but his master's lithe figure wasn't hard to spot. She was broken and bleeding, and, from he could tell, she wasn't breathing. It took the blink of an eye for him to be by her side, and he held her as his bloody tears washed over her crumpled limbs. She was dead. He had failed her. He had failed to be by her side. He had tried so hard to make her jealous, but in the end his efforts were too great. This was his own fault. He'd lost the only person he'd ever truly loved. No, he'd killed her himself.

"Please!" he screamed up at the sky, "Please give her back! It was a mistake! I…I love her…"

Nothing. Nothing at all… not even the beautiful sound of her breathing. He rose to his feet solemnly, carrying her back to the house with heavy feet. Walter opened the door and nearly fainted, but Alucard continued past him without even looking up. The vampire moved at an unnatural average human pace up all three flights of stairs before finally coming to her room. He set his master on her spacious bed and took the liberty of closing the balcony doors before making a weak attempt to crawl into the bed beside her. The vampire servant shook slightly as he placed his head on her chest and listened in vain for a heartbeat. He knew she was dead, but he couldn't move himself away from her. He finally decided that he'd lay there with her until he was no more. That was his unspoken vow. An hour passed, thought it felt more like a lifetime, and the monster still rested his head on the chest of his master. He'd given up on the sound of her heartbeat, but that didn't mean he couldn't hold her until the end.

"Alucard…What are you doing?!... I… can't… breathe…!"

Alucard yelped and jumped to a sitting position, only to find his master bemused and perfectly healthy beside him. He was so utterly mystified!

"Wha… What happened?" he asked with wide eyes.

Integra, being the punctual and direct person she was, got right to the point.

"We had sex, we fell asleep, I woke up, you were having some sort of nightmare that inspired you to cut off my oxygen supply, and-"

"So it was all just a dream?" he asked solemnly.

Her soft smile and a simple yes were his welcomed replies. Alucard was so thankful, so glad, that he had the woman he loved… and now that he had her… he'd never let go.

A/N: Well… sorry if that sucked…
