Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment-Joined by Guardians Of Time

Max's POV

I woke up from the dream, feeling crappy. Shaking my head, I got up and got dressed quickly. I walked out of my room and down the long hallway.

We were safe here, no school, no adults, nobody performing cruel experiments on us.

I heard unfamiliar voices coming from the kitchen. But the first voice I heard was The Gasman's (Don't ask why that's his name, it should be obvious.)

Little Gazzy sounded like he was trying to be brave, "Who are you? What do you want with us."

My heart fluttered, it was cute when he tried to act brave like that.

I walked into the kitchen and stopped. The Gasman was standing before three people. One guy looked wierd, but I passed it off since I was a mutant girl with wings.

He had long blue hair tied back in a ponytail, he wore brown slacks and a white t-shirt. He looked about 18, but he had violet eyes that had a wise look to them.

"Alright I demand to know who the heck you are!" I said drawing their attention.

One boy, who looked kind of like Fang only his hair was shorter, stepped foward. He spoke, "I'm Matt. This is my sister Isabel, my cousin Arkarian, and my brother Ethan.

Then tall Iggy came in, looking tired and irritated. Even though he was blind, he looked directly at the three new people. "What's with the noise?"

The Gasman explained, "I came in here and found these three talking."

I narrowed my eyes at the newcomers, "Well what are you doing here? You can't just barge into someone's house you know."

Arkarian, who was the guy with blue hair, explained, "We'll explain as soon as you get everyone in here."

"What, are you crazy? You think I'm gonna trust you not to do anything while I leave this room?" I asked.

Then Fang walked in. He saw the new people and looked at me questioningly.

I said to him, "Watch them. I'm going to get the girls."

Fang nodded and I left the room quickly.

I went into the girls' room and went over to Nudge's bed. Nudge wasn't asleep, suprisingly. She was sitting up in bed, holding a book in her hands. Her eyes were wide with fear and excitement.

"You ok?" I asked her, making myself sound concerned, which I was.

Nudge nodded, a bright smile spreading across her face.

"THE GUARDIANS OF TIME ARE HERE!" She screamed. Nudge jumped out of bed and looked at me briefly, "Wake up Angel, hurry!" Nudge ran out of the room quickly.

I was confused of course, who the heck were the guardians of time. That's when I noticed the book that Nudge had left on the bed. It said, "Guardians Of Time:The Key."

I was interested now. THen Angel, who apparently woke up, spoke. "People are out there, I can hear one of their thoughts.

That's something else I forgot to mention, Angel could read minds.
