Well, this isn't really the beginning of my story, it's just an introduction. So. . . I'll just call this Chapter 00.

For many years, people have read and enjoyed Batman and his numerous adventures. Throughout those years, there have been many villains to keep Batman occupied. Many traumas, deaths, deceptions, you name it! Though, throughout his whole career, no single villain has caused Batman more pain than his demonic arch rival known only as The Joker.

Anyone who knows who the Joker is, knows that The Joker is a homicidal maniac, bent on driving Batman and his allies well over the brink of insanity. He had never succeeded in pushing Batman over the edge, but even though he always lost, he would always have the last laugh.

The list of emotional scars in which The Joker has inflicted on not only Batman and his allies, but the entire DCU is endless. Although The Joker has greatly proven his permanent mark of insanity, he has also proven that there is a great amount of intellect hiding behind that frozen smile.

The Joker is human, like Batman himself, but like I said above. . . he has infected the entire DCU with his madness. No villain in any comic, has ever done as much damage as The Joker. He had turned nearly everyone on Earth into minor images of himself. He shaped the entire universe with a minor thought (Emperor Joker series). Despite his temporary "abilities", he is still just human. A normal man like you and me.

Anyway, about the story, people have always known that The Joker and Batman have always been mortal enemies, but their rivalry goes deeper than either of them will ever know. Fate has had this planned long ago, and has always needed a reason for their arrival. Their parents have both set the path for their destinies, proving that a persons destiny is to be the best, as well as the best loser.

Well, if your as big a Batman fanboy as I am, and your a big fan of The Joker, then you have probably wondered at one time or another, "What is The Jokers real name?!" Well, like I said, this is just an introduction, and if you want to know you'll have to read! This is before the Batman, before the insanity, even before the death of Gothams famous couple, Thomas and Martha Wayne! So, soon, I will bring you "Shuffling the Deck: Chapter 01!"

*What do ya think?! Please review this quick little intro! I just want to know if anyone is interested. Thanks!!* :o)
