"No. No, no, no, no, no. Come on, Kanda. Come on. Don't die on me here!"
Allison's soft pleas turned into a fierce shout, which echoed throughout the broken and crumbling room that had been their battlefield. She held his cold hand and pressed it to her cheek, which was streaming with hot, wet tears, kneeling beside him on the ground as he lay barely breathing.
"Just... go..." he mumbled, softer than a whisper.
"No," she replied. "I won't leave you here."
His uniform had been ripped to pieces, his sword cracked in half. His face was a ghostly pale and she couldn't just leave him here to die - she could never do that to a friend, what more a lover?
"... stupid..." he breathed, and as he did so she felt it be his last.
"Kanda, no! Kanda, don't die on me, bastard! BaKanda! No!" Allison was screaming now, the rest of the members who could see watching with pitying eyes as she shook Kanda so that he would stay awake, as if he could.
She tried and tried and tried, calling his name out so many times and insulting him with the worst things she could think of, cursing at him with words no one knew she knew and yelling and crying, anything to get him to answer back or just fight with her one more time, and then-
And then he was gone.
Just like that.
Gone.
She suddenly became silent as suddenly as her partner's body had become still, cold and lifeless. Slowly, she brought her shaking hands to his chest, bending her arms, and leaned forward to cry on his body. Her sobs were so loud. Loud and painful enough to hear that one would think it might summon the Earl - but of course he did not appear, having just left seriously injured as per the samurai's last heroic act. Allison wailed, and Lenalee knew she had to go comfort the girl, but with her broken legs she could not move.
Eventually, after an hour of tears her cries came to a stop, just enough for her to mumble one last good-bye.
"Baka..."

So this has been sitting in my notes for a bit. Haven't really updated much, and I'm so sorry! I guess you could call this my way of apology? Maybe? I'm super sorry. Anyway, so Imma try to motivate myself to update the other stories I've got, but until then stay tuned.
