Athena squeezed the rain water out of her hair.
''Sirius? Anyone home?'' she called out.
'' It's Athena,'' she stated.
Athena shuffled into the cold cobwebbed house,''Kreacher!'' she bellowed.
In a loud crack, an elderly elf with skin like scales appeared.
''Miss Athena has returned. Master will be pleased.'' He bowed low.
'' Kreacher, where is Sirius?'' Athena asked dropping her backpack on the dusty carpet.
''Master Sirius is in his chambers,'' he croaked hesitantly.
'' Is he alright?'' she asked worried, her eyebrows furrowed.
''Master is in a terrible state. Sir is drinking and cursing and crying. He is upset, Miss,''Kreacher listed.
''Oh, Sirius,'' she cried, sprinting for the stairs despite her aching body.
When Athena approached the door, she was hesitant.
What if he doesn't want me anymore… I am broken now. She thought.
She told herself internally to suck it up and forced herself to turn the knob. There Sirius was, staring blankly at a wall surrounded by empty fire whisky bottles. A single tear trails down his cheek. He looked like he hadn't taken a shower in ages. His head turned to the sound of the door squeaking open.
He smiled warmly,'' I am dead, finally. This is a wonderful dream.''
Athena rushed over to him and cupped his face,'' Siri, it's really me. I'm alive and so are you. I escaped. I've been running from the Death eaters and snatchers. I have been trying to find you.''
'' This dream seems real… Are we ghosts?'' he asked.
'' No, Siri. We are living. I am here,'' she said as the tears started running down her face.
His shocked expression turned into an overjoyed one. He got out of his bed, picked her up and twirled her around before he pulled her into a bear hug.
'' You are here,'' he whispered into her hair.
Athena pulled away and pulled out something from the pocket of her grey ripped jeans. A ring.
''Now?'' she asked hopeful.
'' Now.'' He confirmed.
The end.
