"Happy birthday Lisa!" Hector walked down the familiar hallway to his best friend's room. He found Lisa sitting on her bed, surrounded by torn wrapping paper, ribbons in her hair, sticking stickers all over her body.

"Oh! Hector, I didn't hear you!" Lisa hastily ripped a sticker off her forehead, and winced. Hector smiled. She was so cute when she was embarrassed. Scratch that, she was so cute. Hector had had a crush on Lisa since he was in seventh grade. She didn't know, though. She would soon. Now, standing there in her room, looking at a seventeen year old girl who stared up at him like a toddler. He was so overwhelmed; he merely thrust out his present. Lisa grinned at him and took the bog white box. She carefully slid off the pink ribbon and laid it down next to her. Lisa lifted the top of the box and found eight little cupcakes in various colors of frosting. Each one had a little letter on it. I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U, all out of order. Lisa thought for a moment, her forehead creasing. Blue rays shot out of her hands as she moved the cake-letters around. "O, you live?" She made. Hector ran out of the room.
