Qui-Gon was walking through the halls when he noticed that the mail had arrived
He walked to the mailbox
On that bright summer day
Found a letter from his boy
In a war, far away
All the newly made knights had gone to war since the senate had turned into an empire.
He ran to his apartment to read the letter. When he got there he ripped open the letter that spoke of many things..
He spoke of the weather
And good friends that he'd made
Said, I'd been thinking 'bout Dad
And the life that he had
That's why I'm here today
Then at the end he said
You are what I'm fighting for
It was the first of his letters from war
Afterhe read the letter and a small smile crept to his face
he started writing
You're good and you're brave he wrote every night as he prayed
What a master that you'll be someday

his boy sent more letters each one containing something new and funny. But a small letter changed everything.
Late in December It said, I was up on a hill
A day he'll not forget

Qui-Gon was on the platform wishing one of his friends luck. When he saw,
A transport pulled in the platform
And he fell to the ground
thinking the worse. He just stared at the ground.
And out stepped a captain
Where his boy used to stand
before Qui-Gon could say anything
He said, dad I'm following orders
From all of your letters
And I've come home again
He ran in to hold him
And dropped all his bags on the floor
Holding all of his letters from war
he looked into his boys eyes and all that came to him were tears and a smile. The same for Obi-Wan
