Recently, I saw Idina Menzel performing with Lea Michele, singing "I dreamed a Dream" and thought immediately of Anna and Elsa's relationship after their parents died, this one however end differently from the movie.

Copy the song below on a separate tab when you get to the singing:

Elsa

Anna

Together

"Elsa," Came the pleading voice of Anna, "I need you. Please!

There parents had only died days before and both craved each other's company. But, Elsa couldn't bring herself to open the door. She couldn't risk hurting Anna again, no matter how much it hurt.

"Elsa," came Anna's voice as it cracked and sobs filled the air, "P-Please!"

Elsa still didn't reply. Too pained to even cry, Elsa did the only thing she could think of. Singing.

I dreamed a dream in time gone by,

When hope was high,

And life worth living.

I dreamed that love would never die,

I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Suddenly, Anna joined her sister in singing, partially catching Elsa off-guard.

Then I was young and unafraid,

And dreams were made and used and wasted.

There was no ransom to be paid,

No song unsung, no wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night,(But the tigers come at night,)

With their voices soft as thunder.

As they tear your hope apart,(As they tear your hope apart,)

And they turn your dream to shame.

And still I dream she'll come to me,

That we will live the years together.

But there are dreams that cannot be,

And there are storms we cannot weather.

I had a dream my life would be,

So different from this hell I'm living.

So different now from what it seemed,

Now life has killed the dream.

I dreamed.

Elsa wiped clear the tears in her eyes, and stood up, brushing off the light layer of frost off herself. Before gripping the door handle with her gloved hands.

"Conceal, don't feel," Elsa reminded as she twisted the handle and opened the door to find Anna standing hopefully outside the door.

"Elsa?" Anna asked.

Neither said anything, but walked closer. When about a hairs length from each other, Elsa pulled Anna into a massive hug. It took some time, but, Anna quickly hugged back, crying a mix of joyful and tragic tears, as did Elsa as they collapsed to the floor, all the while, still hugging.

They sat there for hours hugging each, until Anna looked into Elsa's room, seeing the frost all over her room.

"Woah, Elsa, you need to close your window more often," Anna said.

Elsa chuckled despite her nervousness. She finally knew what would thaw. Love.

"You have no idea, but I think that it's time you do,"

"At this moment, Kai came up, bringing two trays of veal, mini potatoes, broccoli, tall jugs of juice, milk, water and a separate platter of chocolates for each.

"Oh, sorry, your highnesses," Kai apologized to the two of them, "Should I escort Princess Anna to her room, Princess Elsa."

"Actually," Elsa answered, taking both trays, "We'd rather spend dinner in my room "with" Anna."

"Of course, ma'am," Kai replied as he bowed respectfully, before turning back down the staircase.

"Okay," Elsa said, closing the door to her room as Anna nibbled at a bar of the chocolate, "Where do I start?"

The End!

...Or is it...

The Beggining!
