He headed out to the High Council and voiced his ideas for shaping a new world by violent means. He demanded to be named the next Leader of all Crystal gems. But three of his friends Garnet, Pearl,Amethyst protested against Darth Matt suggestions. They went before the Council, moving their hearts and minds as they unknowingly revealed themselves to be the ones worthy of being human protectors. Darth Matt severed his ties to his friends and the Council, taking his "Shadow Warriors" followers to begin the war. During the war he turn family against family and turn friend against friend, Garnet,Pearl,Amethyst try to show him reason. But Darth Matt refuse, and they became enemy's. During the final days of war, Darth Matt plan to destroy human life. But Garnet and others crystal gems have no choice to stop Darth Matt, which mean no matter the cost. A whole army shadow warriors laughing insanly, then glaring stupidly, and then they attacked. Each one was cut down by the crystal gems until one was left now looking scared. As Darth Matt fled in terror, Pearl thrust her spear into him and morphed him onto it, they then shoved the sword in the ground and Darth Matt is sunk into it and is then turn into a big craggy tree.
