Chapter 1, The Sorting Hat
" Weasly, Victoire." Professor Flitwick read off the roll of parchment held in front of him.
Teddy watched as the small girl with firey red hair and bright blue eyes approched the three-legged stool where the Sorting Hat was located. He smiled as he saw the expression on her face. Nervous and frightend. Just adorable.
"Oi, Teddy, isn't that your cousin?" "More like a third cousin, really. And, Josh will you please stop pushing me like that?" "Soz,Teds." "Ughh."
Next thing he knew, he was clapping along with all the other Gryffindors as Victoire seated herself at their table.
This time, as he saw her face once more, it was different. The fear was long gone. It was now replaced with pride and joy.
He looked into her eyes, those beutiful blue eyes and their gaze met for a second. She turned away, blushing and he noticed that her eyes had sparkled.
Her hair was amasingly long with some smooth curls at the end. Teddy deeply admired her hair and how it fell back on her school robes.
And then, there was the was the way she reacted when he told her a joke. She would open her tiny mouth wide in surprise and then fall back laughing. He smiled at that thought.
Jim, another friend of his, tapped him hard on the back. He jerked back to Earth, realising what he had thought.
Was this really happening? Was he, Ted Remus Lupin, falling in love with Victoire Fleur Weasly, the pretty first year eight Veela and his third cousin? Or was this some Veela charm? He had gotten in one of those when he was five. This didn't feel like it, but was the truth possible?
He pushed the thought out of his mind as the sorting ended and Professor McGonagall stood up to speak.
Author's Note: Yea, I know it's (a bit too) short but I don't know what else to write. Mind you, it's my very first fanfiction so please be nice. I intend on doing longer ones in the future. But,like it, hate it, tell me! Please R&R! I promise to stop writing it if no-one likes it. By the way, my spelling's quite bad and unfortunately I do not have spellcheck, so if you find any mistakes, do tell me (pleeeeease!)!
