It was raining outside the Akatsuki base. Everyone in the house knew it was raining, but didn't think twice if it were to thunder and lighting or not.
Itachi Uchiha was sitting on the floor, in a circle, with the other Akatsuki members. Minus one bed ridded 17year old girl. The leader of course was sitting in a chair, that was, the start of the circle.
Itachi sat only half listening to Kakuzu who was, telling leader about his and Hidan's last mission. Hidan put in his comments about the mission, saying how the target needed to be quieter. Kakuzu mumbled something about getting a quieter partner. This made Hidan yell at Kakuzu, who was yelling back.
"Quiet," the leader yelled at the two. "Someone is coming down the hall." Everyone got ready to spring up and attack, if needed. Though Itachi doubted anyone could survive Deidara's bombs and Sasori's puppet attack at the door, but he was still ready.
The door that held the meeting creaked open slowly, revealing a blonde girl who was only clothed in a black button up shirt-said to be Itachi's- and neon green panties. She had slow tears running down her cheeks. Everyone gradually relaxed seeing it was Pein's little cousin, Shuna Haruno.
"Shuna," Pein said. He had a look of question on his face silently asking `what happened?'
She sniffed and shifted her weight to her other foot. "I…thunder…sense…lighting…-" A flash of lighting lit up the small poorly lit room. Shuna ran towards Itachi, who was still sitting down, and tackled him. Itachi tensed before relaxing again and shifting Shuna and himself to a more comfortable position. He sat with he legs open and Shuna between them. He wrapped his arms around her waist and made sure that she was comfortable leaning on him.
Pein looked at them then at Kakuzu, "Continue." Kakuzu did as told and started telling the reports of the mission where he left off. Hidan added his comments here and there but stayed quiet, knowing that Shuna was a grumpy person if woke violently or yelled at.
Two hours later
Itachi gently shook Shuna awake, seeing how the meeting was over and everyone was leaving to go to their own room. Shuna wrapped her arms around his neck unconsciously and mumbled something about kittens. Itachi sighed a miniscule sigh and walked towards his room knowing that Shuna wouldn't sleep when a thunderstorm was happening unless she was either with himself, Pein, or Konan.
In Itachi's Room
Shuna woke up to the sound of rain attacking the base with rugged force. She clenched the covers around her and closed her eyes. The bathroom door opened to reveal Itachi clothed in black pants and a blood red t-shirt.
"Shuna," Itachi said.
"Come back to bed, Itachi. I'm scared!" Itachi walked to the bed and sat. Shuna wrapped her arm around his neck from behind and pulled him down.
"Are you scared, Shuna?" Itachi asked. Shuna nodded while Itachi got comfortable. When he was fully lain down, Shuna lay on him.
"Good night, Itachi." Itachi nodded at Shuna and closed his eyes. 'Good night, Shuna' he thought.

This is my first one-shot ever. I'm happy with how it came out. I tried not to make Shuna a Mary-sue, but sorry if it seems that she is. I guess I should tell you something about her…
