It was a normal day for negi. He had gotten through the class and was enjoying a walk around the campus lake and grounds when he heard something he would not soon forget. It was the wild beast shriek of terror and confusion. Negi more curious than a cat went to see what all the fuss was about and he was an astute animal lover, why else would chamo have been saved? As he ran he tried to imagine what animal could be found on campus and more importantly what could cause it to cry out in such a manner?
'I don't think there are any large animals on campus except for al's dragon... Oh shit!' Negi thought all of this within seconds and took of running at a pace that would shamed any collie in the area. His reason for speeding up was simple. If the dragon had gotten out and was confused it was liable to rampage. Negi knew however that this dragon was friendly and loved being pet but also had a playful nature, which is to say that if its in the mood it will chase a man for fun with no intention of harm. Negi turned the corner only to stop dead in his tracks.

There in the clearing stood a teenage boy about sixteen years old. He was tall and thin with very little muscle obvious. What was interesting was that the boy was facing what looked like a fallen dragon. And was winning. The boy had a very strange stance facing the dragon and was thirty feet from it. He suddenly lashed out at it with a series of snap kicks.

Negi scoffed at the boy. He was just throwing punches without touching the dragon. He quickly turned his attention to the dragon and was amazed it was cowering from the boy. It turned from him and flew away loosing an anguished cry. The boy cursed and took off after the dragon. Negi looked off after them with wonder and confusion writ upon his face.
