Jakes POV
I stared intently at the cards, trying hard to memorize each one and its position. I turned to scowl at the angelic girl whom stood before me, but was immediately captivated by her deep brown orbs. Her brow was burrowed, and it was obvious she was concentrating intensely. I averted my attention back to the game. How was I, a werewolf expected to play 'Memory!' I inwardly scoffed at the name, how original. It pained me to think how dim, humans could be, vampires too, I added thinking of Emmett.
'Okay Jakey, let's flip them over!' Renessmee squealed
I sighed and helped her flip the cards, feigning excitement and anticipation. I started to curse imprinting under my breath. At vampire speed the cards were flipped over which gave me only 2 seconds to think of how to get out of this.
'Um, Ness, darling, I'm not feeling 100%, I think I'm gonna lie down upstairs, kay?' I said wearily.
'Jakey? Don't you listen to me?' the 3 year old asked, innocently
'Course I do,'
'Well' she started haughtily 'You should remember on October 25th at 9:17 pm, just before I went to bed that I told you, "According to new research at Cambridge University, those who feel ill of someway, should engage in brain games, such as memory to help them feel better"' She smiled at me at the end of her recall
'Oh.' I inwardly screamed 'Okay then let's get started!'
I peered to look at the child in front of me, happiness lighting her features, after seeing those dimples on her face, I knew at once, I would do anything to keep that smile on her face.
'Jakey?'
'Hmm?'
'You Lost!'
I groaned, damned vampire memory.
I heard a chuckle from upstairs.
'What is it Eddie?' I heard Bella croon
'Jake's mind' Edward replied, I could almost see the smirk on his face
If he thought I was so amusing, let's see what he thought of this….
I imagined Ness, with the appearance of a 21 year old, scantily clad in revealing lingerie; slowly I began to undress her….
'Jake!' Alice called
'Yeah?'
'I would run, you're future just disappeared.'
'And with that, I was out of the room like a shot.
