There was a time when Zexion truly believed that he would never love, even though he knew that number I had to be smoking something to assume that not having a heart meant the loss of emotions. He assumed it was because he held himself on too high of a pedestal to have room for anyone else in his life (that and the fact that the only people he was truly allowed contact with were members of the Organization.) Then he had met Demyx.

It wasn't love at first site, no it wasn't anywhere near that. Zexion had found Demyx too bright for someone who had technically died once. He was put off by Demyx's lack of common sense, and not to mention, slightly frightened by the boys random bouts of laughter.

Then, one day, he had walked into the Organization's library and found Demyx sitting in the corner of a window seat, reading a book that he, himself, had actually just finished. Zexion had taken a seat, but instead of reading as he usually did, he watched Demyx's face for confusion but found only comprehension.

The next day, he sat down next to Demyx, and, ignoring the look of surprise on the blonde's face, asked what he thought of the book he was reading. The rest of Zexion's library time was spent having a conversation comparing similar authors, and it was only when he had returned to his room that Zexion remembered to be shocked.

Many days passed like this, just reading or conversing, then, after two months of their library meetings, Demyx invited Zexion outside (somewhere Zexion rarely went) and played him a song on his sitar. That night Zexion dreamed of Demyx, and was surprised that the dreams weren't the type to cause a mess of his bedsheets when he woke. Instead, they had been dreams of Demyx singing him songs, accompanied by his sitar.

That day, after their usual library meeting and their soon to be usual 'sitar time', Zexion decided that yes, he had fallen in love with Demyx. Now if only he could get off of his high horse and admit it to the blond himself.

written for dual for two reasons.
1. she converted me to Zemyxism
2. she seemed like she wasn't having the best of days.
