Feliciana was not afraid of many things. She was klutzy, had a bit of trouble reading the atmosphere, but she could not be called cowardly when it came to things like fighting. Thunderstorms, however, were a different story. She knew it was a trivial thing, but the loud noises would keep her awake at night, making her hide under the blankets in hopes the storm would pass quickly.

Tonight was one of those nights. Feliciana sat on the couch with blankets wrapped around her, shaking slightly. The crashes of thunder were louder than ever, making her jump and make her heart race. She sigh, and thought. "I can't stay alone, it's too scary!" She quietly said to herself. She reached over and grabbed the phone, quickly dialing her friend's number.

As she waited for an answer, she thought of how the phone lines could go down any minute in this serious of a storm. Her heartbeat calmed when she heard a deep, accented voice on the other side. "Hallo?"

"Ludwig? I-it's me Feliciana. I'm really scared right now and can't sleep!"

"Scared? Why?"

"Well..."

She twirled a lock of her brown hair around her little finger. Ludwig admired her for the same reason she admired him, they were both quite courageous. Telling him that she was afraid of thunder would probably make him think she was more fearful than he thought. She sigh, knowing she'd have to tell the truth.

"I'm scared of the thunderstorm. Do you think you could come over?" She heard a quiet sigh.

"I'll be there soon."

She said a quick thank you and hung up the phone, waiting for him to arrive.

Hearing the doorbell ring made Feliciana jump. She groaned quietly at herself for being so scared, since she was knew it was Ludwig. She got up and opened the door, moving out of the way to let the tall blond in. He walked in, closing his umbrella and blushed. "You know, you really don't need me here. I'm sure if you tried, you could get over a dumb phobia like this!" He told her, taking off his jacket and hanging it up. His words made her frown.

"I know it's stupid, but you can leave as soon as I fall asleep." His blush deepened. "Fine," he said. She grabbed his hand and led him up to her bedroom.

Ludwig sat on a chair beside Feliciana's bed, watching her as she tried to get comfortable. A few moments later, a roar of thunder could be heard, making her scream.

"Ludwig," she whined. "This isn't working! I need you to hold my hand!" She stretched out her arm towards him. He rolled his eyes and held her hand. Feliciana closed her eyes, but started to move quite a bit. "This still isn't working!" She pouted. "Maybe you should hold me, that might help!"

Ludwig's face quickly turned red. "What? L-look, I'm not really the right person to cuddle with!"

Feliciana whined. "Please?" She pulled on his arm, making him move forwards.

"Okay, okay!" He stood up, face still red.

She moved over, making room for him. Once he laid down, she moved closer to him and snuggled into his chest. He wrapped her arms around her timidly. Once she was asleep, he kissed her head gently.

Throughout the rest of the night, even though it was thundering, Feliciana slept peacefully in Ludwig's arms.
